well you can start by not using software nobody's ever heard of before
I'm avoiding that update like the plague. Every time I connect to wifi (even public, paid wifi I can't use) the update screen pops up. They think they'll eventually wear me down and i'll cave in. They're wrong, I have an iron willpower.
It is really frustrating when it pops up while I'm in the middle of doing something on my phone, though.
