Why is Linus not /g/'s sticky?
- created the Linux kernel
- created the Linux command line
- created tons of Linux operating systems such as Linux Mint, Arch Linux and Gentoo Linux
- build many Linux machines, Linux desktop PCs and LAMP servers that keep the Internet alive

Meanwhile Stallman is "fighting for freedom", or as I've taken to calling it: doing nothing.
>>
You can't even compile the kernel without GNU.
>>
If anyone should be up there it's Bill Gates. He became the richest man in the world and is the living American Dream personified.

Richard Stallman among thousands of other things wrote the initial GCC.

Linux kernel can only be built using GCC (or on a very few specific platforms closed source ICC)

>>
>>54286749
I'd just like to interject for a moment. The person you're referring
as Linus has, in fact, done just a kernel for the GNU operating system,
or as I've recently taken to calling it, nothing. Linus is not a programmer
unto himself, but rather another leech in a fully functioning software team
made useful by GNU developers.

Many computer users run his lackluster version of the GNU system every day,
without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the finnish reject
who is widely popular today is often called a "programmer", and many of
his followers are not aware that he stole his ideas from the GNU system,
developed by the GNU project.

There really is a Linus Torvalds, and these people are worshiping him,
but he is just another attention whore in the software world. Linus is an
egotist: someone who wastes resources to develop his knockoff kernel that
you run. Linus is not an essential person in the project and is useless by
himself; he can only function in the shadow of a complete software team.

Linus is a professional with sane views and high ambition. If he were the /g/ symbol, he wouldn't even know about it. Or care about it for that matter.

Stallman responds to almost every single email that he gets, and also has some degree of autism. That makes it hilarious to have him as a /g/ symbol.

I put it in quotes because those words are, actually, spoken, and in a different language. I put teach in quotes for you to handle the emphasis yourself. Now that I know you're an idiot that thinks IT makes his dick 3TBs thicker I can take the freedom to explain to you that when you teach someone using arguments, you are showing them what to say and have thus taught them. Otherwise, there is no saying they've learny anything. Hooray for the American education system.

Arguments are elaborated, from one dimensional opinions, with intent to present or refute points, held by contrary opinions. Arguments are provided within an exchange, a discussion. But you go ahead and keep continuing in technical discussions using the layman's use of the word. You'll win them all that way, probably because you'll be the only one handling the discussion in that particular form. As a remedial gesture of "superiority". You fucking clown.

No, LAMP (Linux, Apache, Mysql and php) can't work without the GNU operating system. Correctly it should be called "GLAMP".

Linus is just some guy who enjoys the success of the FSF and doesn't stand up for freedom.
