Logitech G15
I love the design despite the fact that it is so "gamerish".
The coolest part is the LCD display, feels like a second monitor.
Also: after "hardening" the rubber it feels much better than it did as brand new, ask for a how to for better explanation.

looking for a cheap and pretty keyboard + mouse combo i can use for programming for hours. don't need anything mechanical or fancy because i don't suffer from autism. any recommendations?
>>
>>54177818
some shitty 'genius' one. white, full keyset. costed me 1$, lasted for 12 years at this point. your move, mechanlicalfags?
>>
>>54186939
The meme that mechanical keyboards last forever was created by Model M owners who rediscovered the Model M around 2010. These keyboards hadn't been used since late 1999 so most were pristine. Coupled by the fact that /9/ only bought cheap chink rubber domes that broke down in years and you get the myth that rubber domes are unreliable and mechanicals are the way to go.
>>
>>54186840
Mechanical fags will defend it because they've invest so much into it. Not saying mechanicals are bad but over hyped.
>>
>>54186883
Worst part is, other people took the bait and are glorifying their poor keyboards

Pic related is greatest keyboard I ever bought, and it was only $30 too.

Any keyboards like this one the market today? It has low-mid profile keys, easy-on-the-eyes, red back lighting, and 26 key rollover through USB.

i Rocks gaming keyboard, great for typing. Has PBT type rubber dome. About $30 dlls. PS/2 and USB.

Has buttons for anti-ghosting but I don't game so I can't say if its good for gaming.

>>
>>54190911
ah yes i have that keyboard too. the rubber becomes soft so quickly
i used that board for 4 yrs and the domes are so fucky. its just collecting dust in me closet now. heck, for some reason, the right click became mushy all of a sudden even though i rarely use that button compared to the left and middle click.

its useful for the clit, but for that functiuonality id just get the modern chiclet equivalent.

Don't mind me, just the best non-topre rubber dome board coming through.
>>
>>54191869
Had an iMac that came with that piece of shit. Keys are mushy even by rubber dome standards, and the spacebar is suspended by a thin metal bar that bends and doesn't hold up the bar properly, you end up having to hit the spacebar directly-on-center or it doesn't go down smoothly.

Also the USB hub that's built into it doesn't put out enough power for any of the flashdrives I had, it was pretty much useless.

Get the NovaTouch if you
>Want custom keycaps

Get the Realforce if you
>Just want the stock PBT, which is actually really nice
>Are going to get the 55g version

If none of these things appeal to you, get the Novatouch since it's cheaper.
>>
>>54194340

Why 55g in particular as opposed to 45g?

Is the Novatouch pretty good quality? Coolermaster has always looke "cheap" to me.

Does the 87U not support custom keycaps, or is it just because the Nova has hybrid switches.
>>
>>54194526
It feels nicer, a more solid tactile thock. Most people seem to prefer 55g. I have a 55g 87U myself, and it makes my 45g browns feel almost linear in comparison.

The Novatouch is probably fine quality. That being said, Realforces always have very high quality, and are as solid as Model M's. This is largely due to the metal backplate on the back of the PCBs. The PBT stock keycaps and the relatively tough plastic case also contribute to the overall feeling.

The 87U takes standard Topre keycaps, but there aren't that many of them, and they're mostly ABS. Whereas the Novatouch has the hybrid switches, which lets you get any Cherry MX keycap, which there a million more options for. If you do get an 87U, it's worth noting that the spacebar is ABS. I'd actually recommend getting a PBT spacebar from massdrop if it ever becomes available again. Yes, this is actually the only PBT Topre spacebar available. The only other way to get one is to find someone reselling them on eBay.

I have one for controlling my computer from my couch. The trackpoint is awesome. Someone needs to put a good trackpoint in a mechanical keyboard.
>>
>>54194721
I just bought a novatouch and if I was to have one complaint it would be that the keys feel just a tad too light. I'd probably prefer 55g but I had a keycap set I wanted to use so I sacrificed for it. With that said 45g is fine, it at least for me is going to take some getting used to moving from MX clears.

Dell L100 wage slave's best friend master race

if you've never seen one of these before you've never had a job
>>
>>54195144
I have heard that the m13 has a low dpi trackpoint that is too slow for high res screens.

>>54195132
I have thought about getting one, but I have heard that the trackpoint breaks easily. It does look awesome though.
>>
>>54195188
I acquired one of those from my middle school. Pretty decent keyboard. No idea where it went though.
>>
>>54195208
Also m13 has no scroll button, which is essential.

Definitely go for the 55g Realforce 87U.
>>
>>54195406
Just put it back together. it takes way more force to press keys compared to my K120. I actually like it yellow though for some reason so i might keep it this way for a while.
