I hadnt broken one either until two weeks ago. Note 5 slipped out of my pocket when I sat down on a bar stool. Fell ~3.5 feet face first onto concrete. First it seemed fine but after about 20 minutes it started changing shade to a blue/purple then died completely about 15 minutes after.
Just got it back from Samsung repair. $185 and a week and a half later I have my phone again. Case arrives this afternoon and it'll probably live there for awhile.
