This is most likely Qtcurve. Forgot the name of the widget style though.

That's my old desktop. It's KDE + Qtcurve, which lets you make your own theme by clicking boxes and dragging sliders.. There's not even any custom firefox CSS. I don't remember the panel theme, but it's untouched. Wallpaper is this image, tiled.

Yes and yes. It's the most user-friendly *nix I've encountered; I'd actually say it's easier than OS X to work with. KDE is nice too. And if anything goes wrong, YaST (the system configuration tool) has a curses mode so you have graphical configuration without X.

It absolutely will, and you don't need to switch distros to switch desktop environments. I've run KDE on ubuntu on a chromebook and it was fine.

Uses brtfs by default and last time I used it I had alot of issues after a while, I am not up to date on the btrfs releases but I don't think it was too stable.

What panel app are you using OP?
I decided to try out some stuff with Openbox.
Not really into loli, but this is what I have right now. Just seeing what I can do.
Using feh, but feh doesn't work currently in the autostart doc
Also, using xfce4-panel, but the configuration to it is... well, it feels limited, but maybe there's a config file for it I haven't found.
Wanting some help and good critique.

I don't think any german fansub group uses softsubs, because they always want to be some special snowflakes with their colored outlines for each character and are apperently to retarded to get how softsubs work.
