What cheap Chinese shit have you bought, and would you recommend it?

Yes, we know everything is already from China but in here we discuss the no/low-name cheap shit you see on eBay, AliExpress, Gearbest and similar sites.

Anyone buy FPGA boards from China? How are they. I recently got access to an original(!!!) Basys from Digilent. Its alright but, I wish it had more general I/O ports. I even had to write my own UCF for the board because there isn't one available on the net. Also Spartan 3E-100 is pretty dated. Anyone have experience?

FAT32 is highly inefficient for storing lots of smaller files, even more so on a larger filesystem because you'll be forced to use larger cluster size (filesystem size limits are tied to cluster size - bigger cluster size-> bigger filesystem is possible).

Well, if you have the required equipment to run tests on the case that you get, then maybe you can risk it. Otherwise, I wouldn't get anything untested.

One of these would presumably be fine:

They're in the actual heel of the shoes, under the ball of your foot. Theres a usb port on the inside to charge them. Also looks like they use some kind of connector so you could switch them out for new cells if you needed to.

It stays on. Pressing the power button also changes the color, and theres an auto cycle option.

Voltage is controlled by the power bank, Amps consumed is controlled by the device. If the bank has an onboard chip that says "hey, the maximum you can output is 1A" then the device will detect that and only pull 1A. Otherwise, it will pull as much as it's set to pull.

Well, get something decent. I'd never ever use a poor charger to charge 18650's, that includes the circuitry in an untested battery pack.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTzEHsJVZhA

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-0YiS7tkCI

But as I said, it rarely is economical, Xiaomi just has the batteries and case+circuitry both in one 10Ah pack cheaper than you can easily get either in a tested variant & in decent quality on the market.

Honestly though for a phone that price you should expect average hardware at best and the fact that you're getting what you're getting at that price is pretty impressive already.
In Australia that level of device wouldn't sell for less than $500, minimum.

I'm not surprised they cut corners with the camera.
>>
>>53928983
Great, thanks famalam. Was wondering cause someone else mentioned ~80/40 but they show like 12/12 on their product page for some reason.

>>53929035
Depends entirely on the games she'll be playing, a 771 setup will struggle with CPU intensive ones. It doesn't have much when it comes to singlecore performance which, frankly, is still more important to gaymen than multicore performance unless you only intend to play the very latest gaymes, and then it'll still be lacking.

You'd be much better off going for a Sandy/Ivy Bridge build with an i5.
>>
>>53929120
>Better content

A lot of samefagging, the last thread has 90+ unique posters and this one only 52.
>>
>>53929155
Well she's playing bf4 on my pc right now and I'm tempted to buy us both gta v and planetary annihilation. I get the feeling planetary annihilation might not be as smooth on that processor since my friends i3 2100 is barely able to maintain a steady 30fps during large battles.

If I buy a prebuilt I'd still need a new case+psu+more ram.

Would an overclocked x3430 be better?
>>
>>53929120

>>53929153
they didn't cut any corners really, it's a Samsung Isocell 16MP camera, but this particular size sensor is new and it's smaller than all their previous ones, making the pixels smaller and less effective at capturing the light. Right now the Redmi Note 3 Pro is the only phone to have this camera and it's worse than the 13MP in the Mi 4c, Redmi Note 2, and the Mi 5.
>>

>>
>>53929181
>overclocked x3430
Good luck overclocking that. Its multiplier is locked and base clock/FSB overclocking isn't really a thing on these newer generations.

2.8 GHz is rather low, but I think it should do a better job than that X5450 you posted about before. There's a pretty significant gap between Core 2 and Sandy Bridge.
Still though, I REALLY recommend you look for an unlocked (k series) i5 instead. You can overclock these and, unless you're getting that Xeon for 30 bucks or less, you'll most likely get much more for your money out of an i5, with overclocked performance in mind.
