In this ITT thread: technology buzzwords.
I'll start:
>elastic
>cloud
>web scale
>big data
>machine learning
>devops
>as a service
>inclusive
>high availability
>user friendly
>pooled storage
>VR
>managed code
>>53909857
IDK, "cloud" is a pretty convenient shortening of "offsite and not our responsibility," "machine learning" is as good a name as any, and "user friendly" is a good way of describing a service as "easy enough a minimum wage goon can do it"

I'm sorry to tell you, but elasticsearch - shortly "elastic" - is a real technology.
Managed solutions
Seriously marketers are masters of non speech. It's like reading 1984.
You guys have just forgot the ultimate buzzword, RETINA
>>53909902
yeah some of those terms are just useful
>>53909857
>disruptive
>innovative
>WYSIWYG
>simple
Disrupt
Pretty much means "lets do what everyone else is doing but with a shitty app"
>>53913728
It maybe arbitrary and a marketing term, but it's an accurate description for a real phenomenon.
>problematic
AGILE

Unix is my daily driver
As a turbocharger engineer, people tacking the word "turbo" onto everything under the sun really grinds me.
As does the use of "Big Data" to desrobe "analysis of consumer trends", when data analyisis has been such a central activity in science and engineering long before in became fasionable for business execs and IT startups.
>library
>program
>executable
>application

Meme words:
PRODUCTIVITY
DAILY DRIVER
PREMIUM FEEL
>>53916099
It's underrated given the lack of positive and/or supportive responses. If it had more, it wouldn't be underrated. The fact that it has no proper replies indicates people don't think much of it.
Also that's the most autistic rant I've seen this year. Why do you have it screencapped?
>>53916148
He probably has it screencapped because it's the most autistic rant he's seen this year as well
>Minimum viable product
>B2B
...or B2C, or any other variants of this.
>The '___' economy

The stupidity in this thread is escalating. If you guys are one of those people that say "AI is just code made by someone else!", then please GTFO of /g/. Neural networks can exist physically and do not use any code at all, they're not I/O machines, they are parallel processing machines that generalise data sets which processes it with probability of success. It's only AI's that use a soft system's approach that are coded and more often than not the closes thing they produce as code are neural files. I feel like this thread should be in /x/
>>53914325
>WYSIWYG
Do you really hear that that often?
It used to be more common when a lot of commercial software wasn't WYSIWYG, but nowadays all software that normies use is.
