My company will only let me buy a new ThinkPad from the official site.
Only choice is T460 really.
I can't find much info on Linux support since it's so new.
Anyone has any of these?

battery life is a spec
weight and size are specs
specs are not just >muh jijajertz and >muh 64GB RAM

OP here
Size and battery life are indeed important. T460 is a good balance between these things, and I can always upgrade to i7 and more RAM, what I can't do is make the laptop lighter.

get the one with the best screen

fucking this

Make sure you choose:
>i5 or i7 CPU (i3's are just better binned Pentiums)
>8GB RAM(optional, reduces disk swapping)
>win7 pro(because 10 home can't be legally downgraded, 10 pro can)
>FHD IPS(TN and 768p suck)
>6cell rear battery(optional)
>miniDP to VGA adapter (because it does not have VGA output, also optional)
>3yr onsite warranty(because ADP is useless)
that way you can get the real thinkpad experience.

also, Linux support for new ThinkPads is still under development. So better stick with windows for some months.
