>register your own domain
>set up a small vps (you can grab one without having to deal with merricans for as low as 2.50€/mo)
bam! that's it - fucking rocket science isn't it
and you can let family members/friends/collegue have their mail too (and share those ~35€/year - domain+vps - costs; .eu domain have automatically private whois for every private individual, not searchable by merrican bots)

Since you already got your own domain name, why not host your own MTA?

Do you literally do nothing all day that you can get tired of an email?

I don't get you guys.

Because most residential ISP
- ban mail servers on their network
- are banned and/or figure in DNSBL worldwide
You'd need a static ip + a business-grade connection for a mail server. A VPS solves all this.

Feels good.

My account is over 10 years now. I feel sorry for the John Smiths of the world.

also have [email protected]

I'd highly suggest tutanota.com- I got my three [email protected].

Based out of Germany, they're going to have encrypted calendars soon, they have Android and iOS apps.

I'm currently using Hotmail for daily use because I use the same mail account since 10 years ago. For "private" use I'm trying with Protonmail. Seems nice for now.

I use Gmail professionally, OP. It doesn't make you look like an idiot.

For "private use" and chitchat, I use Autistici.
>>
>>53694220
Protonmail
Yandex
GMX

Best option: Host your own, only .com domain though. Normies don't understand the concept of domains outside of .com, .net, and .org.
>>
>muh [email protected]
>muh professionalism

Please, I still use the Hotmail account I created 12 years ago which is [email protected]

Can't get any more authentic than that.
>>
>>53694377
I actually did this for years, you get bullied by shitty spam lists and big ass services (fucking hotmail) that randomly bounce your emails for bullshit reasons

wasn't worth the hassle so now I just set postfix to forward everything to/from my gmail box
>>
>>53694220
Why worry about the domain? Just use a service that allows you to use your own
>tfw giving people my .org email
>>
>>53696541
No idea, anon. I didn't make that screencap, I just saved it from when someone else posted it making fun of something Russian
>>
See if there's a TLD for the last two letters of your last name and register it, like [email protected]
>>
>>53694864
Can it be configured to show a custom email address to the receiver? If no, then fuck it.

Into the trash it goes.

Had a guy apply with the email "VAMPIRESUXBLOOD@wherever" once. I actually hired him though.
>>
>>53695542
how do you feel about YouTube?
>>
I have
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]

And
[email protected]

I also have my university email address because they allow alumni to keep it.
>>
>>53697177
Same here. And I have no idea which address to use.
>>
>tfw [email protected]
>>
Trash Email:
[email protected]
Personal Email: [email protected]
>>
>>53694220
FastMail is good, but it costs money to have anything more than a tiny storage.
>>
>>53694220
Whenever I see someone with a "gmail" address I just assume they know nothing about online privacy and shouldn't really be trusted with a computer.
>>
I've got a gmail account that is [email protected]
And I also host my own so I've got [email protected]

I personally think gmails are fine as long as they're professional. If you can host your own, do it.
