I picked up this beauty 6 FUCKING YEARS ago for $600, and it still runs like new. It's incredibly quick. Lenovo is a meme
Best value device you've ever owned thread
I used this forever. Last week I tossed it into a box with a PSU. Guess which part won the fight. Now I'm looking for a monitor under $300, I'll probably go for LG's 29" 1080p Ultrawide with FreeSync. If I can't get 16:10 gaymen monitors I'll just go the opposite direction and try ultrawide.

LG G2
>>53691826
Nice anon, $300 is a lot for a monitor anyway so you will no doubt get something really good.
I forgot to mention in my OP that this notebook weighs 1.1 KG. Seriously, it's the best thing I ever bought.

Nexus 5

I bought my new Lenovo x240 in 2014. It's still good today.

My man
Wow, that's sad, running a six year old computer. Someone could use an Apple iPad Pro!
Galaxy Note 8.0
Its only issue is some bloatware which can be removed. It's a really good tablet with good resolution, s-pen, pretty light, pretty small. I feared I would lose it because on a very, very rainy day it got really fucking wet and I left it that way for hours without noticing it after I got home. To my surprise it survived and within a few weeks most of the screen was restored. Its battery is pretty good. It's fast with the right software.
Nowadays I don't use it much, but I'm not giving it away.
>>53692605
Still running my Nexus 4, doing just fine.
>>53691850
LG G4
gonna use it till it literally falls apart.
>>53691759
>6 FUCKING YEARS ago
You bought a laptop when you were 12? Pls b8 better.
>>53692797
I wanted a powerbook G4 when I was 13. Maybe if OPs parents could afford it they would.
>>53691759
my old kindle
fell countless times, only 1 button broken still works fine to this day
also my GT 240
>mfw been using the card for 5 years now and still can run CSGO and most games without a problem
I kinda want to upgrade to a r9 380x but I don't really game that much nowadays
>>53692823
I did that thinking "well, now I could play some current shit" and then I kinda realized what a waste of money that was. Because I ditched Windows.
nexus 7 2012
still strong
but i got feeling that it won't get Android N

$300 Asus laptop. I expected it to be shit.
I'm loving it.

You arent fooling anyone OP
>1300€ laptop at launch
>1366x768
>>53691759
Come at me, bro!
>6 years old too
>consumer grade shit
>paid €450
>acer sub-brand
>cheap plastic everywhere
>upgraded nearly every single component (yes, even the CPU. It's not soi)
>still doing its fuckin job without problems
>good linux compatibility
The only reason I would change it is to switch to a quad-core CPU and to buy a business-grade laptop
>>53693825
>It's not soi
It's not soldered*
>Sapphire ATI Radeon 9550
ran 3 years, fan died, ran 4 years without fan, passed it to a fried in need, might be still running
that shit was awesome, somehow managed playing oblivion on it
The best value devices are the Thinkpads I bought used. I wouldn't buy one new because they are so costly.
>>53693825
You can switch to quad core anytime if you got intel and its not soldered
It has pretty good build quality. I'd still use it if Android wasn't such a sluggish piece of shit.
>>53692605
How's battery life?
>>53693825
Hello Drybones
>>53692791
I have G4 too, it's already been through some shit, looks brand new. The only thing I don't like is the battery life, but that's okayish
>>53691826
Fuck I miss my 16:10 every time I play guitar IE every single day, fucking 16,9 is a shit as fuck resolution. UGH.
Man fuck every modern tech device "lately", shit tech:
>touchscreens on laptops
>16:9
>3d in cinemas
>battery tech in general
>browsers all going to SHIT
>>53691850
I am still running this... I walk into the att store every few months out of curiosity and test the new stuff against the g2... its just not that much faster or that much better yet.. The v10 is pretty nice but is it worth 250 over my working g2? I am not sure.
>>53694065
Mmh, if I find a quad-core 1st gen i7 for cheap I could at least try..
>>53694146
>Drybones
What
Back in 2008 I got an HP Pavilion dv7, refurbished, for somewhere just south of a grand. It was bulky and a housefire, but it did everything I asked it to do, up until last year when I sold it and bought a ThinkPad. Good piece of tech. I miss the screen.
>>53694382
Just remeber that 1st Gen quadcores are pretty shit unless you go high end over the 2ghz mark. Also those do not come with integrated gpus
>>53693825
This. Except mine are Samsung and Sony devices. Still surprising they last.
10/10 wouldn't buy again, still
>>53694591
>Also those do not come with integrated gpus
I have a descrete GPU, theorically it should work
>>53691759
i5 2500K / HD7850 combo
Bought in early 2012, still no real reason to upgrade
>>53694604
>10/10 wouldn't buy again, still
This.
Especially now: consumer-grade laptops now are completely shit! In 2010 there were more possibilities to find a decent one

More like 3 and a half years
still on my core2duo rig from 2007
paid 500 bucks for this thing in early 2009. last year i put an extra 150 in it by purchasing a new battery and SSD. i use it daily and it hasn't shit on me once, fucker is built like a tank
also managed to buy a brand new z1 compact for 200 bucks in the summer of 2014. that's flagship specs for a very basic price
value deals are the best deals, gotta be on the lookout like a fucking shark though

>paid £90 for a T60 3 years ago

>1.8GHZ dual core
>2GB memory
>still flies with MATE
Haven't spent a penny on it. Not sure what I'd even want to improve. I love this machine.
