I use it
I just prefer the logo over the others.

Yes. Browsers are divided between Blink, WebKit engines, and Gecko. Blink is behind Chrome, chromium, and their related spinoffs. Opera is just the best version of those spinoffs out there. It's like a better version of chrome.

Because I needed a separate browser for porn and decided on opera for some reason.

Opera is now Chinese flavored botnet
Why hasn't the android version been updated in almost 2 months?
lads, what do you think will be the second surprise in O37? first one was built-in ad blocker. so good
>>53664313
Second surprise is News button in toolbar :^)
>>53663983
>Blink goodness without the Google botnet
>Blink goodness without the instability of Chromium
>WebKit goodness without being tied to an Apple platform
>Cross-platform and built-in adblocking
New Opera is best Opera
>>53664313
Considering the Chinese buyout by a company known for malicious adware on android the announcement of built in ad-blocking seems highly suspicious. I bet it has a whitelist or inserts the Chinese companies ads in places.

The Speed Dial. I can't stand how Chrome doesn't let me choose what sites it displays.
>Post opera 12
What a fucking shitshow
I was so fucking pissed when they changed everything for worse. How do you go from basically having no need to install addons, to be fucking barebones. And even that statement is to far-fetched, because it lacked so many standard features.
Just use vivaldi or vanilla chrome. Opera coast is the only good product it has since it's probably the best UI a mobile browser can have, but thats about it.

i use it on android, best browser there is imo
all the other browsers have a SHIT user interface
opera mobile is sleek, simple, functional and fast
>>53664444
How is that shitposting
>>53664451
I know.
The biggest concern about the browser is that it crashes like motherfucker. I have to use other browsers to browse luscious because it will stop working if it encountered a gif for some reason, yet is probably the best to emulate the feel that the original was going for.
>otter
They are hobbyists not a company, so the development is a mess. They promised tab stacking by the end of the year and last time I checked most of the pages couldn't even display correctly.
If it becomes a thing, it wont be any time soon.
Is there some bug with the latest version? For me it's playing up with all page elements vanishing when random links are highlighted, then comes back after I move the mouse around and the font rendering looks different and more blurry. It only stated happening after it auto updated itself to 36.
>>53663983
I had no idea what this even was til a few days ago

If it didn't consume so many resources, it will be my main browser

Watcha talking about.
I don't get how could my posts be interpreted as bait or just plain simple shitposting.
Are you OP bumping your own thread?
>>53664746
I didn't make the picture m8, I just saved it for the opera part.
Also, the funny thing is, I do have a 2gb ram laptop with ganoo linus on it, and chrome and firefox are probably the best working browsers on it.
>Opera devs are a major contributor to the Blink rendering engine, second only to Google.
I am happy with chromium but want to avoid the google botnet.
Opera seems like a solid choice considering this.
>>53664746
If only you could see the irony in your post.
>>53663983
The UI is breddy good and it's as fast as Chrome, what's not to like?

Sorry, my bad.
>>53664876
It's like a perfect choice.
its fast and werks
been using opera for a long long time now.
i'm not switching. i use chrome at work and it's meh.
>>53664733
meh i don't know, Opera mobile is just so immensely practical in my eyes.
you can easily switch the layout for phone, tablet and even desktop use and therefore make most use of whatever screen size you have, tab switching is super comfortable and the general usability is really simple, even clearing browser cache and looking into the history is easy and comfortable
firefox and chrome for android are somewhat retarded in all these points
Used to use all the time but started crashing recently desu
>>53664219
what about Yandex
>>53665047
Yep. Coast doesn't even have a private navigation option, but browsing with that UI man...
Going back to safari after using it felt like a chore.
>>53665063
Yandex is just another Blink spinoff. Not as nice looking or featureful as Opera in my opinion.
>>53664154
SOOOOONNNN..
http://venturebeat.com/2016/02/10/opera-accepts-1-2b-offer-from-chinese-firms-hungry-for-its-booming-mobile-ad-business/
i use it as my second back-up browser that i usually only go on to view my second gmail and youtube account
>>53664413
>shitty shitpost image can't even come up with a reason to hate safari
Lol
>>53665104
Too bad there's no support for syncing or bookmarks.
I like Opera for Desktop but the Android version likes to reload the page every time I switch tabs, something that other browsers doesn't do. This made me crazy some weeks ago and I decided to change to UC Browser.
>>53664919
wow everything is a botnet. why can people every respect our privacy?
>>53663983
I do.
To be clear, Opera, not Chropera.
NoScript and/or Adblock mess up Google Maps. Too lazy to get it sorted, so I use Opera only for that.
