who here has or has had lightscribe memes
did you even do anything with it?
I've never done anything with them, but I have a couple working lightscribe drivers around.
I had this on an old HP Pavilion like 6 years ago... I made a couple Ubuntu disks with real disk labels, and I think a family vacation dvd or something. Then never used it again.
I've got a light scribe drive from HP.
It works ok, you have to burn the labels twice to see them.

I have a LabelFlash drive

Yes, I'll try to look if I can find a disc maybe.
Pretty pointless though. Took forever for a really faint print. Permanent marker is way better.

Just realized that this shit can also be used on the data layer of any generic dvd-r

what are the chances of toxic fumes?
>>53614427
0, since it works just like normal DVD data

Funny to see this thread since I just found a old stack that had yet to be used.
I dont have a light scribe capable drive anymore however so Im not sure what to do with them. Im debating just archiving some porn on them and burning the box art or some shit to the label side

made graphene supercapacitors tbqh

They are great for printing cheap CD art for band stuff.
Too bad mine died, and its getting hard to find discs.

What? I have like two spare ones and CDs and DVDs are also easy to get anywhere. Try eBay
>want to get LabelFlash DVD-Rs
>german ebay has none

Ebay does not help my tech illiterate friend who has instructions on how to burn discs for show demos, and then runs out of discs.
Ebay only works if you are smart enough to plan ahead (we are not obviously).

sounds a lot like my situation.
The discs are too costly and it takes a long time to make a label.
just add it to the growing list of features your drive supports that you will never use.
