What's a good place I can upload the Microsoft media creation tool without getting V& by Microsoft or the link getting taken down?

It looks like they made some changes to the creation tool for windows 10. they used to allow the creation of win 10m pro ISOs but now they do not. Luckily I was able to save the version that includes the pro versions.

I would like to upload it somewhere for others to easily download without the link getting taken down.

Using a OnePlus 2 (810)
Some of the cores never turn on, even if I manually write a 1 to .../cpu5/online. I've made sure that it isn't just in a power save mode. If I set the governor to performance, they still won't turn on. There are also some strange things going on (1766mhz/0mhz on cores 6 & 7). Anyone ever had this problem? I've looked online and all I can find are people not knowing that they are in power saving mode.

Doubt it. The 801 on the OPO was much worse. I checked the cores a few days after I got it and it was working fine. They were all online. I changed some setting, probably max frequency or governor, changed it back, rebooted, and then I noticed issues.

Basically a way of using several drives as one. Usually it is done for reliability. There are different "levels" which control how the data is laid out over the drives. Which level you use depends on how many drives you have, how much redundancy you need, and performance requirements.

With RAID, you can lose 1 or more disks (depending on the level) and still have a complete copy of the data. You can then replace the failed disk(s) and "rebuild" the array which copies the missing data to the new drives.

There is also one special RAID level: RAID 0 which provides no redundancy. The drives are combined into one big drive. This increases size and speed (write to multiple drives at once), but it is basically like playing Russian roulette because if any of the drives fail, you usually lose all the data.
>>
>>53612769

Upgradability is out the window of course.

Hard to say with this information. Could be a GPU problem. The GPU has access to RAM so if it writing bad data that could cause it.

Check your PSU. Power problems can cause weird and hard to track down crashes. If the load of your GPU starting up could cause a voltage to dip. However, I think that would more likely cause the BSOD than an app crash.

Have you tried running a memory test? Boot this up: http://www.memtest.org/ and run it for 24 hours (or at least overnight). It is the standard memory test tool. It will work your RAM hard to identify any problems, even very rare transient problems.

Honestly, you could just have a motherboard that is defective in some small way that only crops up under the load of a game.
>>

>Doctor, Doctor I have a pain somewhere in my body. What is my diagnosis?
Basically what you are asking.
>>
>>53614072
GPU driver would crash, windows would probably report it.

PSU would probably reset entire computer, not just shut down a game.

Of course i can't be 100% sure, but gpu and psu are least possible answers in my book. Memtest is the best bet, it sounds like memory problem.
>>
>>53613721
The programs crashes to desktop at random times with no error message. Have to check event logs to see when it crashed and what the error is and half the time it seems to be randomly related to a memory issue or a nvidea issue. Sometimes I can go hours and it won't crash, sometimes it happens right on start up. At least once a week the crash comes with a BSD. Tried running with onboard graphics to rule out my GPU and still got crashes. Running any of the games in safe mode spikes my CPU usage up to 97%+ and sometimes won't even open the program at all.

I'm planning on buying a new motherboard soon but I was hoping to rule anything else out

That's pretty much what I'm working with, too. I've seen some really weird crashes in my time. If it was something obvious he would have probably stumbled upon it.

>GPU driver would crash, windows would probably report it.
Not necessarily. If the GPU miscalculated something and writes that data to the shared memory, it could cause the program reading that data to crash.
There are lots of ways a GPU can fail without causing a crash: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGudilb2D2Y
Also the GPU driver runs as part of the kernel, so it can't crash separate from the kernel. You'd get a BSOD not a Windows error report thing.

>PSU would probably reset entire computer, not just shut down a game.
If the PSU totally drops out, yeah. But if just one of the voltages (say +1.5V) dips momentarily from the load of the GPU starting up then that could cause a glitch in the RAM. Since the program using RAM most heavily at the time would be the game, the glitch would probably happen there.

Again, none of these are super likely, but he's covered the likely bits.
>>
>>53614169
>Running any of the games in safe mode spikes my CPU usage up to 97%+
In safe mode, Windows doesn't load the GPU subsystem so all the graphics try to run in software mode so your CPU can't keep up.
>>
>>53614287

I was surprised how much it holds its value when broken. Sold it for £400 spares and repairs year 2014.

>>
>>53614240
>>53614249
Ethernet cord in theory, but if you knew enough about networking to get that setup, you wouldn't need to ask. You probably want to plug them both into a router so you don't need to do custom networking setup.

After that, you can just do the "Right Click -> Share Folder" thing.

>>53614453
stress test it and find out. usually it's safe, but it's always better to get some quieter, more efficient cooler - especially with expensive i7 build where additional $30 means nothing.
>>
>>53614386
Not to bust your balls or anything, but did you even try fixing it (anything from actual repairs to just trying to turn it on again after drying it out completely)? Did you at least get your data (off/gone)? or take it to the apple store (they have diagnostic equipment / tests)?

I have an asus 7870.
lately my graphics drivers have been crashing randomly and constantly (not necessarily when under load) in 8.1 64 bit. Updated to latest beta drivers, fixed nothing. Anyone else have this happen or know a fix?
>>
>>53614453
Those are perfectly fine unless you plan to overclock.

The only other reasons to get a 3rd party cooler are if you need some super slim cooler to fit in your case, you want to get a big fanless cooler so it is quieter, or something like that.

I can't dual boot Windows7 and Linux. I've tried Mint, Ubuntu, Xubuntu, Elementary and more - but no matter what distro I use it always breaks the Windows partition. I formatted the HDD with a fresh installation of W7, then tried installing Linux to dual boot, but after installation when I try going into the W7 partition I need a W7 CD to fix it.

Any ideas why this is happening? Is this a hardware incompatibility issue (i.e Linux not being compatible with this processor)?

Nobody has ever been arrested or had serious problems from running a relay. I doubt you would ever have any trouble with background checks.

The tor project has a guide for running a relay with minimal issues: https://blog.torproject.org/blog/tips-running-exit-node-minimal-harassment

Most of it has to do with your ISP and handling abuse complaints rather than any actual legal issues. While I don't think it has ever been tested by the courts, it is commonly believed that the safe haven provision of the Communications Decency Act would protect a relay operator from any real legal issues.
>>
>>53615151
That's not going to stop them from kicking your door in and taking all of your shit. Nor will it stop them from looking for something else to get you on to save face. alrighty, seems like you're not really into computers (like, you're not using linux so you have to be tech illiterate, that's obvious)

so
first thing: you have to root your device
second thing: install busybox, you can probably find it on android market
and now
third thing, install terminal emulator
>open terminal emulator
>disconnect hard drive
>ls /dev/sd*
>connect hard drive
> ls /dev/sd*
>if there are more files after connecting, you're good
>find which ones are "new" after connecting hard drive
>it should be somethng like /dev/sdb and /dev/sdb1, "b" letter may be different
>now, on your rooted device
>su
>allow
>mkdir /media/whatever
>mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sdb1 /media/whatever
now your hard drive is mounted in /media/whatever

maybe it was -t ntfs now, dunno

Can somebody please explain this to me?

Every board has integrated graphics right? Right. So when a CPU has integrated graphics, the motherboard basically switches from its own integrated graphics to the CPU graphics right? So does the motherboard graphics card remain completely idle? And for CPUs that don't have integrated graphics and no GPU, why isn't the on-board graphics (pic related) equipped with a cooler? What's with the design? Looks odd.

DVDISASTER: I installed the program, Windows version. It checks for disc errors (CD/DVD), if you don't know. But one of the essential configurations is "image size". "Image size"?? I'm not using (disc) images, I'm using physical discs. This means the program will create (disc) images? I don't want images!

the program is designed to either
- generate augment images with additional ECC

For some reason I have gotten a ton of interference on all the 3.5mm microphone jacks on my last 2 computers. Different cases, different GPU brands, different PSUs, both Gigabyte motherboards with Realtek audio.

The only difference is I have one of the outputs on my GPU going to an HDMI switch so I can swap between shit on my main monitor. It works great, the switch outputs separate audio so I can just plug it into the microphone jack of my PC and still have all my PC sounds going along with whatever the switch is getting, and I can control the volume. The problem is there is the microphone jack on my PC still has a ton of interference not found in the headphone jacks AND whenever something is happening on either screen it now picks it up. Listen:

http://www116.zippyshare.com/v/vg9OOOg2/file.html

The high pitched sound is the sound of me moving my mouse. There is no interference what so over if I plug my headphones directly into the switch itself. Different cables and everything leads me to believe it's just my computer having trash audio. This happens on both front panel and back panel connectors.

Is there any general idea on how to stop this? Would a USB sound card or whatever work to stop this?

System.out.println(access(new String[] {0,1,2,3,4,5},2));
}
public static String access(int nums[], int access_level){
String s = "";
for (int i=0; i<nums.length; i++){
if(nums[i]<access_level){
s= s+"D";
} else {
s=s+"A";
}
}
return s;
}

}

I am comparing the the each number in the array to 2, if the number is < 2 then it gets a D, if it is 2 or greater it gets an A

I changed the logic to correctly reflect this

Finally, fixed it! Thank you :D

public class AccessList {
public static void main(String[] args) {
System.out.println(access(new int[] {0,1,2,3,4,5},2));
}
public static String access(int nums[], int access_level){
String s = "";
for (int i=0; i<nums.length; i++){
if(nums[i]<access_level){
s= s+"D";
} else {
s=s+"A";
}
}
return s;
}

}

This compiles !!! THANK YOU SO MUCH

Windows 7 vs. Windows 10?
i7 3770K & 16GB ram
evo 850 ssd
gtx 960
>>
Does anyone here have a freshly installed/updated copy of Windows 7? How much space does it take up? I'm trying to determine if Windows is just really that big, or if mine is bloated to hell and back.
>>
>>53620376
It should be between 10-15 gigabytes
Remove Hibernate files if you need filespace

So certain jewtube videos and other stuff off of websites makes my tv change the resolution/saturate the shit out of it. I've checked tv/video card setting can't figure it out. Thinking of buying a different tv.
>>
>>53620285
Sorry, typo there. it should be
new int[]
rather than
new String[]
. It's compiling for me after that change.

W10 spies on you.

Get a pie chart app and see what's taking out the most space
http://www.steffengerlach.de/freeware/
Some windows folders are known to get huge over time, some you can deal with, some you can't
>>
>>53620444
yes no dice. The tv is 60hz so it should still be working
>>
can anyone give or point me to an explanation of how something like how the rbt archive works?

how do you systematically grab html off of another site?

I have a DDL for a large file, but downloading on my shit connection isn't cutting it. Is there a browser extension/client that will let me resume where I left off if I get kicked off?
>>
Would one of the fine folks in this thread explain, literally how I install Windows, but on a sub HDD in my desktop. I've tried reviving a laptop with a newly bought HDD, but with both Windows CD and USB the only message I get is "No bootable media"
Anyone know what that means?
>>
>>53620636
quite often those free ddl sites won't allow resuming, if the server doesn't allow it, you can't 'force' it, resuming is something the server needs to provide support for
>>
>>53620661
It's not a pirating thing, I'm trying to download a game client through official channels. It's an akamai link though, so it may or may not allow resuming.

Could you post a link?
