Is there an alternative to Qualcomm which produces such open and well documented SoCs?
I know Samsung Exynos and MediaTek are very closed and shit.

I've been doing research into this for months.
The answer is No. Get your hands on a list of Qualcomm's qfuses, that will unlock loads of functionality.
If you do get your hands on a list, specifically the MSM8974.
No one will provide you with the source for the PBL.

There aren't other choices, there's is no development for huawei devices using Kirin's SOCs

Mediatek has overtaken qualcomm in performance and efficiency, Just not documentation.

I don't think huawei or samsung would release documentation for their own chips, since so few would actually buy them outside samsung or huawei devices

Intel.

Not in their gpu nor modem performance which matters more
>>53604137
Documentation? What documentation?
I don't see sources for the modem on the SoC? Or the sources for the PBL, SBL and ABOOT.

Does Intel provide sources for their Modem and PBL/SBL?
>>53604295
Exactly.
>>53604278
Not really. Pretty much any modern gpu can drive a 1080p screen for every day tasks and mobile games.

Both Qualcomm and MediaTek are doing LTE channel agg. I think its like 2 20Mhz channels.
Any Ex-Qualcomm employees willing to leak some documentation on the modem and/or qfuses would be amazing.
