What do you guys use for mobile SFTP clients? I've been using ES, not happy with it at all. SFTP speeds are beyond trash with it. All I'm looking to do is stream media from my server with it, anyone got a rec?

I use mobile SFTP. Thry have an app for ssh too. I didn't reas the whole thread, hope it fits your needs. And I like ES for samba.

I also have ES Meme Explorer Pro, but if you really want to get rid of it and search for an alternative for transferring files from Android to PC, I recommend AirDrive + NetDrive.

It's has really great tools (SD file analyst, hide list, root explorer) for the user who settle with massive amount of files and knick-knacks. Like me and my cover folder... (2,280 images, with no duplicated pics)

FX file manager is best overall...
total commander is good for managing files across multiple discs and drives
Floating apps file manager for large screen tablets/desktops for a true multiple window setup is God tier on Android with a mouse.
So FX is my general choice for phones and smaller (7inch) tablets. If it's Android on a laptop or tablet laptop hybrid or larger then floating apps is a must have and only costs about 2-5 bucks.
