Why the heck is Snapchat so freaking laggy on Android devices? It doesn't even matter what phone you have, even the latest and greatest start to lag horribly every now and then when using Snapchat. Is there any reason Snapchat randomly maxes cpu usage to the point where having to restart the phone is the only solution?
It works so much better on an iPhone because Applel doesn't let people put half assed apps onto the app store.

because it grabs from the camera's preview feed to be "faster" and thus is screenshotting your preview of the camera, doing no processing of the image. it's running this ALL THE TIME and just dumps what it doesn't use (when you aren't actually capturing) and it does this even if you're not on the camera (middle) screen
