I found a x220 in pretty decent condition, I upgraded the ram to 16gb, and samsung 512gb ssd, I bought a battery slice, and installed linux and finally have the best configuration for it; its my road warrior; the only issue I've noticed with the screen is (IPS) model has a lot of ghosting, image retention; when I suspend the computer it's gone..wheres a good reliable source for a new screen? I see a lot of fakes and bad reviews.
so far this looks the most legit. but highly pricing, almost as much as I paid for the laptop itself.

The x220's are great machines. I have one similar to yours with the slice and all and the battery lasts so long on it. Not to mention the 2nd gen i5's in those are still comparable to modern mobile cpu's in terms of performance.

I frankly love it so far, its been reliable, battery lasts me a good 8 hours; no lag, sure the screen resolution isn't amazing but it works for being on a terminal 90% of the time. I just really want to get a legitimate screen replacement so Im not bothered by the ghosting.

Newest x220 IPS displays don't have it anymore. Do some research, figure out which serial numbers are newest, get newest one.
X220 is really great little laptop. I guess it's worth it, especially when those displays costs, like, $50 per unit.
