Literally no microphone with 3.5mm works on my system, everything worked fine yesterday and today nothing works. The microphone is still being deceted by windows but it doesn't record any sound. If I listen to it and raise my speaker volume I only hear a low static sound, if I fiddle with the plug it sparks a bit but no matter how hard I shour at the mic, it won't pick up any sound.
Usb microphones work fine and so does the 3.5mm speakers.
Pink 3.5mm Front or back panel doesn't matter, the microphone gets detected, I make sure all levels are maxed and not muted but it still doesn't pick up any sound. I know the microphone still works since I tested it on another system.
Spent the last hours googling like a maniac, I've tried removing drivers and using old drivers, no success. My frist thought was that it was something with the 3.5 jack itself, but it seems unlikely that both front and back stops working at the same time.

So guys I made a fatal mistake at trying to perform a pre-os partition operation with a 3rd party program. It encountered an error and corrupted the drive because I am a dumbass.
Regardless I was able to recover most of the files from backup. However some files had to be recovered using another 3rd party program. I went with EaseUS. It worked but the files are unusable. I get various error messages saying the file is unparsable or unreadable etc.
What program or method should I go about renewing these files? Hiring a professional to do it seems like a total rip off.

Hey guys. I sometimes get pic related problem and other, less annoying artifacts often. I'm dead scared that the vga started dying on me. Tried driver change but it didn't solve my problem. Other thing I can think of is that the CPU is 220W and the mobo has support up to 140W but it does work fine I just had to put some fans on the vrm. The way I understand it when a program is installed on GNU/Linux it basically places it resources, libraries and executables in the right places and updates the path environment variable so that, for example, when I type java something.class it knows where to search for the main executable and do it's bussiness. Is this correct?
So what happens when you want to have two versions of the same program installed? I, as a user could do some mumbo jumbo and make it so that the latest java is called with just java, and java 1.6 with java6, but I'm trying to build something, it needs the older version of java, but only knows to invoke it with a simple 'java'.
How do I go around this problem? If anyone cares, I'm trying to build android from source and it needs both java 1.6 and make 3.81.

Those graphs are meaningless and easily faked. Different sites loaded in a tab will amount to different amount of memory usage. I can make Chrome load 2gb ram with a single tab.

My wireless mouse (work supplied) is driving me up the fucking wall. The USB receiver is sitting a meter away in direct line of sight, but it's still intermittently picking up the signal.

When I said they shouldn't share space, I mean the files they read and write to shouldn't be in the same space as this can cause conflict so be sure to point one to "temp/java6" and another to "temp/java7". Although that's really only an issue if they run at the same time.
