Has anyone tried them or maybe knows a cheaper alternative? I've been experiencing a lot of eye fatigue (tiredness, itchy eyes, etc.) and I was wondering if they actually work? Unfortunately, I'm using prescription glasses and the Gunnar prescription ones costs a ton.

f.lux

Increase my k/d 2x.

Helped with my eye fatigue a little.
First, try moisturizing eye drops. Next, learn to blink manually and consciously.

Are default settings good enough? Or I need to waste my time on configuration?

I've tried this on my laptop and my screen looked absolutely horrible. Did I do something wrong or do I just get used to it?

If you are willing to put up with the meme of a name then try no-scope glasses they are cheaper versions of the gunnars
Tried flux. Sucked, didn't help. Adjusting screen brightness to match the room was better.

it always looks like shit

Eye fedora
>download f.lux/redshift
>force yourself to use it at ~2500K at night for an hour
>turn It off
>let the painful feeling in your retinas be the proof of how huge is the difference it makes.

I've broken multiple bones and I still debate if turning off f.lux is more painful
I have one as prescription glasses, work pretty good. Just don't get anything with that yellow tint, you'll look like a faggot.

Yes they actually work
You can also adjust your monitor's colors to make everything yellowish
Or get a monitor with low-blue-light mode (which doesn't make your screen yellow)

yes, the ones with the black plastic 'old' frame

Just adjust the color temperatures and it will look good.

Got one for free. The optical coating sucks.
One nice thing about it was that it's slightly magnifying, which helps with seeing the screen ever so little.
Not worth it.

>slightly magnifying
I'm not an optometrist but this sounds outright harmful
