Do people on this board that use Gentoo actually take the time to compile their own kernels like you're supposed to with Gentoo, or they just use the stock one? From what I've seen, if you aren't compiling your own kernel when on Gentoo, it's basically a glorified Arch that takes an eternity to install each app because you gotta compile it first.

Feels good man. Compiling gives a pretty good boost for speed in each app. proper CFLAGS are a must tho.
