You might be able to launch them in an ultrawide resolution, but the menus are often fucked up. The only games who play well with resolustions like this (in my experience) are games released in 2014 at the earliest.

Well ya know these "Smart" TV's that have Android or some shitty software built into them to play Netflix and crap? You literally cannot buy a *new* television nowadays that doesn't have this garbage built into it. It's repulsive.
My family has a few of those things, and sometimes they'll just fucking crash entirely (Get locked so nothing you do makes the thing respond), and you end up having to unplug the whole fucking thing and plug it back in to make it work again. Not a fun task when it's a 70" with the cords hiding behind a massive mantle.

I've never seen or used a smart TV that crashed if all you do is switch inputs and adjust display settings, like a normal TV, it was always the "smart" crap that's unstable, but that's worthless anyway.

a 2560x1440/1600 or 3840x2160 is so much more preferable than 2560x1080 or 3440x1440 it's not even funny.
DP 1.3 GPUs and displays coming out this year will even obsolete the tiny advantage of >60Hz limits that a handful of 3440x1440 monitors had.
