I second this. It's a Swedish VPN, not really well-known outside of the country but they recently started to focus on international costumers.

There are other things to keep in mind other than protecting your real IP from being exposed since you can still theoretically be traced through fingerprinting, most websites don't really keep enough in their logs though.
But still, for increased privacy, I suggest that you buy a cheap laptop from ads in the newspapers or something. Pay with cash. Only connect through VPN. Never do anything on it that can be connected to you (e.g. Facebook, mail etc.).
Any swiss (swiss as in neutral) VPN, like serpico or so. Gigabit vpn...
