The real problem was not merging them, there's already an addon called MozillaLabs: Prospector - OneLiner. It will even expand the urlbar for you when you activate it. The problem is that the url bar will stay there in full screen mode, and making it disappear was a real hassle. I had to make a custom script that will toggle a Stylish style that will set the urlbar height to 0 upon entering full screen mode.

I want to try openbox when I get my laptop and have something to fuck around on. It looks super useful once you get it set up.
For now, I just use this to get stuff done. I'm on almost a month and a half of full time Linux use without dual-booting and without a Windows VM. I'm a long time Linux user on the server, but on the Desktop I feel like I'm wasting the power of my graphics card almost.
