The browser extension is open source, what is closed source is their premium clients for Windows, Android and OS X. Their other privacy browser addon is also open source: https://github.com/AdguardTeam/StealthMode

Adguard 2.0.17
uBlock Origin 1.5.2
EasyList 1.0.49.87

uBlock Origin has the better feature set, even if it doesn't look pretty.

You are retarded. You can't test with multiple extensions installed at the same time because one may end up doing 100% of the work and then there's nothing left for the others, leaving them with no resources used.

You need to test each one by itself on a clean install of the browser.

Retard, if developers didn't mind optimization you couldn't run half the programs you run at the same time, this applies to everyone.

Meanwhile hosts use zero RAM. It's retarded to talk about plugins with different sets of functions, and ublock(origin) beats everything in either regard. Where's the number of fliters used in each test? Absolute joke of a chart.

Trying to compare larger programs to a fucking extension
Honestly thinking 25mb ram matters

I know the necessity of optimization but we're talking 25mb here. Not 2.5gb. Shit not even 250mb. Do you think big program devs like CAD software and photo editing programs are actually optimized down to the single mb?

Im not arguing against optimization. Im arguing against the entire point of this thread. 25mb and neckbeards shit their pants. This is a poontless argument in a pointless thread.

Every bit helps. If one extension has less memory consumption and the same features as another why the fuck wouldn't you use the extension that is more efficient?

I don't care about memory usage, I care about adblock detection.

For example, Forbes no longer works unless you disable ad block (see picrelated)

They claim you get an 'ad-lite' experience, but of course they are fucking lying scum.

You get:
>multiple video ads
>VIDEO ads that LITERALLY APPEAR OUT OF NOWHERE BETWEEN LINES OF TEXT OUT OF AS YOU SCROLL
>pop ads as you try to leave the site

Its like they are a bunch of braindead fucking idiots. They want an adblock arms race

You mother fuckers literally want me to watch a dozen video ads to read some op-ed by some dickbag 'journalist' with a poli sci degree who's probably sucked more dick than most porn stars just to get their job in the first place?

FUCK YOU FORBES

You're ignoring that there is usually a trade-off between memory usage and speed. Extreme example: what good is an ad-blocker with zero memory usage that needs to re-download its filter lists each time you open a website?
>>
>>52144369
I'm not talking about Adguard. It was more of a comparison between Ublock Origin and Adblock Plus.
>>
>>52144225
