Depends. I've been using KDE 4 for quite a while, it uses a lot more memory than most DEs, but it's functional, pretty and has plenty of configuration options, such as disable titlebar for individual windows (Firefox) or the visual effects. And i'm not running Chromium based trash so I won't be running out of memory anytime soon.

No idea, because I got lucky I guess. In my town/city(Not sure) there is somekind help for students or/and teachers, and there is psychologist. That center director is my english teacher. if you want an easier i3 config, you should use i3-gaps. Do openbox if you don't care about tiling, and want a drop down menu when you right click the desktop. If you do want tiling on openbox though, you could install pytyle

In case you haven't noticed, this is a thread about showing off your heavily-modified desktops to other people.
DEs in general aren't as customizable and take up way too much screen space, meaning people can't see the pretty animu desktops they've got, whilst WMs are minimal and heavily modifiable.
DEs may be more 'useful' for daily use, but not for showing off how pretty your desktop is.
