tfw you wake up for a new thread

it's hot today
>>
Reading through that bugzilla thread on the newtab change finally convinced me.

I really never took any of the fork guys seriously, but seeing how the firefox devs think of their users and how they treat people disagreeing with the changes made was what it took.

I don't know if any of the forks currently out there, or the ones being shilled here are any good, but mozilla has fucked this one up and sooner or later some other project is gonna be better.

You can't have a browser be both the fastest, most efficient, most customizable browser AND hold the hand of every grandmother who gets embarrased when Conduit changes their new tab page again.
Sometimes you have to make a decision between customizability and UX, and this seems to be to be so fucking far into the 'uh yeah this should be customizable' territory that I wouldn't be surprised to see this in IE. I have no idea how they reasoned this bullshit out. You should not have to install foreign js to change your fucking newtab page.

sorry for fucking up your fresh thread

The argument seems to be that powerusers won't mind installing an addon, and when people show up to tell them how fucking stupid that is, they just ignore them.

oh my god I hate literally everything you just said.
i hate the modern web
i hate the distorted `flat` trend that normals (who don't actually give a shit about having real passions in life) consider `hip` and `in`
i hate almost every website I visit (no I don't want to download 20MB of fucking javascript)
and anyone who says the the default windows 10 theme is good does not belong on this board to be honest. we're supposed to be the good-taste counterculture Übermensch.
I'm not saying we should blindly go back to windows 7/90's bitmap/skeuomorphic aesthetics. But I do think that there is a place for most aforementioned design elements in the modern man's operating system

Similar to how desktop ricing guides are considered harmful and are corrupting the youth for the worse, there is also no such thing as a design `guide` like that piece of shit that google have published about `material` flat design.

It's still gonna take me a couple of days at least. I'm learning the chrome API while doing this.

I don't know if it's possible to make it work on about: pages. Also since it's part of HTML it loads only when the page has loaded, so if you have slow internet or computer then it's gonna be really shit, maybe I could build it into firefox UI then it would be instant

if cutting off your balls is too scary you can go to the doctor and get a prescription for selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors which have a similar effect and also make you more genki
>>
>>51972468
But how do i achieve this state of mind
Is it kind of like the eightfold path or something

it sounds like you're a tohno-chan neckbeard that got ran off /a/ for being too autistic, not an anime girl.
>>
>>51972364
Hey, you aren't japanese, so why are you acting like an inverse samurai indirectly begging for western forgiveness after failing at being not cute?

You're part of the winning side that was never and will never be cute. There's no need to act so defeated and effeminate.
