U-uh those clothes were left here by a former resident... y-yeah!

I agree Unity is shit, but honestly it doesn't matter, and who gives a fuck? This is a very cool project that's potentially worth massive amounts of money, and you're concerned about his DE?
You never change, /g/.

Yes.
>>51899877
Glossy screens works in outdoor situation if you only rotate it correctly.
On the other hand, matte screens in outdoor situations are 0/10 since the display doesn't change no matter how much you turn or twist it, and you see precisely nothing in any non-0 amount of light: you just see a blank screen.

It's the kind of things I work on for my job so get mirin'.

Very impressed. I'm humbled.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called Linux, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.
There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called Linux distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

This guy is an undeniable genius. How the fuck does he do these things?

well, he obviously is too busy doing somthing important to rice his car's loonix

>car mechanic knowledge
>small diy knowledge
>programming knowledge
>interest in AI
Thats all it takes. Just the right combination. He's not a genius, but an ordinary person with the right recipe. Anyone with these skill set can do it. And those aren't even that rare of a skill set.
>>51900279
What.
>>51903018
the neural net experience and converging the tech is the hardest part
He had to dissect the UDP packets from the LiDar, match it with the webcam input, tell the car how to steer, brake and accelerate and all within certain latency windows.
>>51902780
Except "hacking the iPhone" was a much more impressive than building a self driving car.
He didn't really create any of the technology behind his self driving car.
All someone needs to that is a lot of free time, money and advanced programming skills.
People in /g/ usually lack all 3

Because it shows how much of a fucking weirdo he is.
>loonix crushes
>your fucking car crushes
It's like when your Spotify crushes you get punched in the face
I posted this in the other thread, but I'm pretty sure he's almost completely full of shit on this. The ILX already has a lot of autonomous tech on it, and everything the video shows the car doing (driving on a highway and keeping within the lanes) can be done right off the lot.
He might be making his own system, but what he demonstrated was stock ILX tech.
>>51899877
Exactly what I thought.
>>51904049
Learn to spell fucktard.
And LTS versions of the kernel are very stable, I sure hope he's running LTS.
