Any project ideas? They seem pretty old, one of em is even 20 gigs, I'm laughing because I have a USB drive the size of my thumbnail thats 20 gigs. The others range from 80gb-123gb and so on. I came to the library to learn Java and make my own apps and ended up with five free hard drives.

Anon, I'm 38 and I just got diagnosed with ADHD last month. All my life, I've wondered what was wrong with me. Had I caught it when I was much younger, everything would be completely different.
You need to get a handle on this shit, before YOU end up middle aged, wondering what went wrong. Medication alone will not do it. You need a therapist/coach.
Fun fact: only 5% of ADHD sufferers graduate from college.

I feel you anon, and I'm definitely trying to.
Everytime I try to force myself to focus the spinning/buzzing in my head gets louder to the point its impossible. This is a quick synopsis (incoming blog) of what happened:
>Religious BR parents, forced me to hide symptoms of ADHD but it didn't help
>Tried everything to hide it, even had seizures as a kid, didn't help, private school didn't help
This lead me to dropping out of Uni twice, lost scholarship, 20k debt, tried to self medicate thinking it was depression or bipolar, had antipsychotics and even went to a psych ward, none of it helped. Then I explained the situation honestly to my PCP, I don't have access to a psychiatrist right now, and I'm about to lose my health insurance (which is true, moving across states because my family can't afford to live here, a friend is giving our family of six a temporary place to live). Told him about how my life went in the shitter, got sacked after a month on a job, family is bankrupt, he told me:

>I'm giving you 27mg Methylphenidate ER, it'll let you concentrate and get work done, we will see how this goes for thirty days, take care
Today was the first day on meds, and so far I've learned the basics of OOP, Conditional and Control Flow, and just a basic Intro to Java. Yesterday, I couldn't open a web page without getting side tracked by something. I got through 10 pages of a Java book in...six hours. And that was me REALLY trying.
