Ditch the Titan for a 980ti, use money saved for 6700k. You're welcome.

Fuck you, i rate it 0/10, there are you happy?

you fucking imbecile didn't spend 1 minute researching, /g/ repeats that Z and -k thing every single day

Go ahead, buy that PC, it's amazing
>>
Okay okay i wont get the titan
>>
>>51862291
did you just pick the most expensive out of everything? Fuck off completely
>>
>>51862913
No i looked everything up and these where the "best" that i could find.
>>
>>51862888
Get either a i5-4790k or an i5-6600k if you want to go skylake.
>>
>>51862846
You'll never use all the power of a Titan unless you are doing 3D rendering in like 4k on top of other shit. A 980ti is much better for gaming too, as it can overclock more.
>>
>>51862971
>>51862846
Also, you only need one optical drive and the soundcard is overkill
>>
>>51862996
Okay, got rid of the sound card / got rid off all the optical drives except the dvd one
>>
>>51862968
Okay, why is it better than the i7 tough?

Okay, got rid of the titan and chose the GTX 980ti, thank you

Whats wrong with the motherboard?

>i7 6700, non K, on a fancy OC gaming motherboard

>not even getting Windows 10 pro so you can use remote desktop and have all that power on the fly

>OVER THREE FUCKING THOUSAND BUCKS
It's a prebuilt, isn't it?

I built a similar tier computer 1,5 years ago for half that.
>>
>>51863042
It's not, but it sounds like all you're using the computer for is gaming, and most games can't use the hyperthreading and extra cores, so basically you're spending money on little to no improvement
>>
>>51863042
Also, get a gtx 980ti instead of the titan x
>>
>>51863162
I chose all of the parts myself but its my first PC so i dont really know the best of the best. Can you please explain whats wrong with the motherboard / cpu? So i can replace them with something better.
>>51863193
Okay thanks bro
>>51863220
I will, thank you
>>
>>51863244
If you get the i5's recommended in >>51862968, there's no problem with the mobo
>>
>>51863244
Just get a 6700K instead and maybe a nice cooler like a Mugen 4 so you can overclock it if you get into that in the future. If not, get a cheaper motherboard, the cheapest you can get that has the features you need.
>>
>>51863278
i can only get these ones:

Intel® Core™ i5-6400 2,7GHz

Intel® Core™ i5-6500 3,2GHz

Intel® Core™ i5 6600K 3.50 Ghz
>>
Okay so here is the updated one :
Case : Cooler Master Storm Stryker
CPU : Intel® Core™ i7 6700 3.4 GHz
GPU : Nvidia GTX 980 Ti 6GB
Cooling : Cooler Master Hyper 412S
Motherboard : MSI H110M PRO-VD
Harddrive 1 : 3TB
Harddrive 2 : 120gb ssd (probably only going to use it to intall the os)
Optical drive : Standard DVD
Power supply : 850W Cooler Master V850
Monitor : 24 inch BenQ RL2455HM 1MS RTS Gaming
OS : Windows 10 Home

New price : 2256,- (with the monitor / os)
>>
>>51862291
>i7
>gayman Ram
>Titan x
you are fucking retarded.
But hey as long your mother is paying for it you are fine.
>>
>>51863398
I recommend getting a larger SSD anyways. You can mindlessly throw all your software on it and also a lot of games that you want to load faster. I have a 500GB SSD with 75GB left in my machine.
>>
>>51862291
>locked CPU
>overclocking-specific (albeit not overly expensive) and loud HSF
>overclocking-specific mobo
Bad
>meme ram
>ram is also slow
DDR4 does actually provide a noticeable increase in overall performance going from 2133 to 2400, and 2400 to 2800. 2666 seems to be the sweet spot. So...eh depends on what you could get it for. I got 2666mhz ram for the same price as the cheapest 2133mhz ram (yes I know it's just factory overclocked 2133 but it saves me multiple hours of fine-tuning).
>nameless-disposable-stormtrooper looking "gamer" case
That had better go fucking swimmingly with the rest of your decor. Otherwise tryhard/10.
>titan x
>not the better-performing, cheaper, 980Ti G1 Gaming, 980Ti AMP!, or STRIX 980Ti
>hell not even SLI'd 970's, which would be both cheaper (now that they're under $350 each) and faster
Ya dun goof'd
>BX100
>not MX100 for price:perf champ, not OCZ for ultimate-poorfag champ, and not 950 PRO for performance champ
Ya dun goof'd
>both a DVD player, and a blu-ray burner (that also burns and plays DVD's)
literally what the fuck
>filling 3 fucking 5.25" bays on a full-tower case
Dumb
>internal sound card
Retarded. Especially since your mobo actually has better onboard audio than that sound card, and supports an external DAC+Amp.
>1kw PSU
>A really fucking expensive and poorly reviewed one at that
>for a system that should draw at most 700w peak load
You could've gotten an 800/850w 80+ Platinum Seasonic with flawless reviews for about $40 cheaper.

>overall
nigger that's at best a 3/10 setup, and without any stated qualifiers I can't do better than 2/10.

>>
>>51863398
Okay, rehash of >>51863476
for updated info.
>CM Storm Stryker
Still stormtrooper/10. It's a solid case but it's gaymer-look as shit. You'd better have all white furniture. There's cases of the same quality, better airflow, and much more elegant looks for cheaper.
>reference 980Ti (or you don't know whose yet and think they're all the same)
c'mon really?
>H110 mobo
H170 if you're sticking with a non-k CPU. Yes, its main benefit is 4 DIMMs instead of 2 so you can expand memory later. Personal opinion is that alone's worth the $40 price difference.
>still the Hyper 412
CM hyper 212 evo does the same exact shit, will be a little quieter, and is $25 instead of $125. On a non-OC'd processor even the 212 evo is overkill.
>"3TB" hdd with no mention of -whose-
If you buy a Seagate you deserve to lose everything on it. Nothing wrong with a 3TB drive, but stick to WD blacks/blues or Hitachi Deskstars.
>120gb SSD
You will want a bigger SSD. 500/512gb SSD's are fairly affordable. If you want a decent one, get an MX100 or 850 Evo. If you want a top-of-the-line one, get an 850 Pro or 950 Pro.
>standard DVD -something-
Player? Burner?
Your last one had a BD burner. Nothing wrong with that (especially if it comes with BD playback software or you're OK with pirating it), but it was dumb to have both since BD burners are backwards compatible with DVDs.
>overpriced PSU with shit reviews
I stand by my recommendation for Seasonic. Though I do think 850w is a reasonable range. 1000w was overkill.
>>
>>51863324
Get the 6600k
>>
>>51863735
Thank you for the feedback

MSI Z170A Gaming M7

@The SSD
I upgraded it to a "SSD Crucial BX200 240GB"

@The case, i can choose between :

Done
>>
>>51863735
You still here bro? ._."
>>
Is a 4k Monitor worth buying?
>>
>>51864186
yeah yeah.

Peronal choice on a case would be the HAF 912, followed by the 500R. My home desktop is currently in the original HAF (932 I think?), airflow is fantastic and it's amazingly quiet but dust gets everywhere if you don't get the fans just right. Both of those are excellent cases, I'd suggest picking one based on which one fits your aesthetics better unless there's a massive price difference.

Since you don't have a choice of an H170 mobo, there really isn't anything wrong with the MSI H110. I just like 4 DIMMs. That being said, 16gb should last you a long damned time, I -just- upgraded from 6 with an i7 920 to 32 with an i7 6700k. That's 8 years on 6gb of RAM, and it still had life left in it.

The BX200 is a pretty decent SSD, no real issue there.
>>
>>51864336
Not for gaymen. Yes for productivity.
>>
>>51864340
Isnt the MSI Z170A KRAIT GAMING better than the MSI H110 tough?
>>
>>51864340
oh and i can choose between :
Cooler Master Hyper 103 koeling
Cooler Master Hyper 412S
(liquid) Corsair Hydro H80i GT
(liquid) Corsair Hydro H100i GTX
For the cooling. (They say that the 412 is the quietest one)
>>
>>51864450
Yes, but it's also a fuckload more expensive due to features you won't use with a locked processor.

>>51864513
whyyyy so few choices?
>>
>>51864569
Those are the only ones that they have :/
Oh and do you think that i can run games like gta v on max with an gtx980ti ? or should i get 2 980's? (Not that i have the money for it, but i can try to save it up)
>>
>>51864668
Even a reference 980Ti should be able to achieve 75+fps on ultra everything with a 1080p monitor, 60+fps on ultra everything with a 1440p monitor, and 60ish fps on high everything with a 4k monitor. Some of the OC-edition 980Ti's outperform a Titan X by a large margin. They're the strongest single-card GPU available.

>only ones available
Then get the cheapest one, they're all beyond overkill for a 6700 non-k and sufficient for even a decently high OC on a 6600k (not sure which one you're looking at any more).

Also, for gaming, a 6600k will serve you better than a 6700 non-k while being a bit cheaper. You would need a Z170 mobo to do any serious overclocking though.
>>
>>51863920
Do you love MSI or someshit?

I stay away from MSI as much as I can, get a Gigabyte or Asus board and stop being a nigger

So i was building a skylake system and i was wondering what you guys think on the krait gaming board because i like it but the sata ports REALLY put me off, any other boards you guys recommend because i want a black and white look but if i have to go full black thats fine.
>>
>>51865403
I'm a fan of Gigabyte boards, have been since the introduction of i-series CPU's.

Currently have the Z170 G1 Gaming, it's expensive but the features and layout are really fucking nice. The UD5 board is a lot cheaper and still has a good feature set, it's just not quite as good for extreme overclocking.
>>
>>51864980
why? That sounds bizarre
>>
>hey guys I put the most expensive parts I could find together rate xD

If you're wasting that kind of money just go to a pc shop and ask for the xxxtreme gayming build, you'll be better off as you have no clue about PC parts and couldn't even lurk this place for 15 min.

Kill yourself.
>>
>>51865577
>implying that isn't exactly what he's doing
>"they only have [very short list of parts from 1 or 2 brands]" available

PSU 1000 watt only for sli/crossfire. Never buy locked GPU. İ7 overkill too.
