Antergos is basically a really big installer for different flavors of Arch.
Manjaro uses Arch as it's bane, but it has it's own repositories and certain automations so it's basically hand-holding Arch.

I've been using Antergos for almst 1 year, it's very good, my only complain is the installer, I installed ubuntu in 6 minutes and Antergos took me over 1 hour.

The wiki assumes you are an expert on a lot of things like partitioning before installing arch, file systems, how boot loaders are configured and so on and so forth. The wiki is pretty shit for people who don't have a CS degree.

Besides that Arch only has a hostile appearance on /g/. If you take a look at the forums, the wiki or any IRC chat or even reddit nowerdays, the community is friendly towards anyone who tries, and doesn't really feel superior that those who fail. Those who do that on /g/ abuse anonymity, to create a wrong image of arch. I e.g. never heard of Arch being a NEET distro, before visiting /g/.
