So, I need a new chair.
I've read about the Herman Miller Aeron, not really convinced since people are complaining about pain in thighs. And since I'm from Finland they are not readily available. (only one reseller)
Not really sure what to think about the various gaming chairs either (Maxnomic, DXRacer).. Seems like they're made just to profit off the gaming community.
I need something with a headrest and lumbar support. Budget around $1000.
Any suggestions?

I have an Aeron at work. They're great, but get the C, it has a bigger seat which is much more comfortable.

How about good/decent chairs for poorfags? Preferably a low one, but all I really care about is keeping good sitting posture. Finnfag as well :^)

these aren't bad at all and cheap, it has a place to put your ass, your arms and even something to lean your back against
>>51606695
Omg $1000 for chair? My chair price is 50$ and second year not breaks.
>>51609430
Sure. Ergonomic office chairs cost money..
>>51608059
why not?
I got it because you get to use your back-muscles more - and since I have had an accident that caused problems with my spine, I tend to look after stuff like this.

Just had not heard of anything like that. I thought it was a joke..

captains chairs out of a 2nd gen Dodge Caravan welded to some wheels.
bonus points for the power drivers seat and a PSU mounted under there to power it.
>>51610072
Haha, that has actually been in my mind. But it's just screams problems if you want to adjust the height or tilt.
It would be cheap though, I'll give you that.

I'm in the same situation here as you OP. Finland too and the prices of that one Herman Miller reseller over here(KT Interior, right?) aren't exactly inviting. 1400e for the graphite stand model. Maybe I'll wait for some used ones to pop up and make do with the Ikea Markus I got now. It's not bad but the comfort in long term is average.
>>51610832
Yep.Quite steep price, considering you can get the maxed out chair for around $700-800 in US.
Look at the steelcase range. The "gesture" and the "leap". The leap you should be able to find for quite cheap through craigslist or something.
I have owned the KAB Controller, the herman miller aeron as well as the gesture now. The gesture is currently my favorite chair but chairs are very much up to the individual. You are best trying to find somewhere you can test these things out for an extend period before committing.

Almost better to order it online from somewhere else and suck up the VAT at that point.
>>51610985
Mm.. but the shipping is going to kill it. It's a huge box.

Keked
>>51610982
Well, it's a different story here in Finland. I'll have to look around. Thanks for the tips
The Aeron is not as good as the Embody; if you're going to go Herman Miller, go Embody.
Frankly, the Steelcase Leap is a better chair than either of those, for about the same (or a little less). Not sure about how Steelcase's distribution in Finland is though.

Holy shit, it's like /fit/ came in and took over for a while.
Thanks for the recommendations, most of that shit is beyond my price range apart from Ikea, but I'll keep at least the brands in mind for the day I need to upgrade.

I've only found one possible reseller. Lists no price, and from the looks of the site they mainly/only sell to businesses.
Challenging to find anything at a decent price.
