I also recently acquired a second monitor.
I used to have a 14" 1600x900 on my dell latitude.
Now I got an old Dell ultrasharp 20" or something. It's a 4:3 format at 1600x 1200. Though only old anime can go fullscreen, it's god tier for reading a book when I turn it to be vertical
OP, your screen is wide but 24" and "only" fullHD? Doesnt it look stretched? Also, why choose a second monitor 16:9 when your laptop have the same shape format.

As a 27" 1080 owner, I feel this is my only upgrade path. Waiting for early adopters to bring the price down.

I'm the 4:3 guy. Can you explain to me why you consider ultrawide monitors.
One "web dev javascript monkey" colleague try to convince me by saying he can have his webpage full size on the right and his code on the left.
Since I either browse or watch chinese cartoon without multi tasking, and that I my programming is done either in Matlab gui (also full sized) or in vim (monitor filpped to be vertical), why should I be attracted to these wide monitors?
I also dont gaymen

a. canadian so most ISPs have data caps unfortunately. it's fucking stupid and i hate it
