Whichever you're most comfortable with.

Your home connection isn't going to have enough bandwidth that it will make a difference, even when coupled with the CPU & disk bandwidth available on an 8 year old laptop.

It's even good for production services. If a system doesn't need to be spread across multiple machines, and SQLite supports the calls being done, it's stable, and often faster than a traditional DB server.

The dev team on it is fscking amazing.
