Edge is the most horrible browser I have ever used since I accidentally opened Internet Explorer 10.
There are four types of people who use Edge.
1) Microsoft fanboys
2) People who don't know any better.
3) People who wants to be different.
4) masochists

Which one are you?

That is what people said about IE11 but in the end it was the fastest and most reliable browser. It can load pages that Chrome/Firefox can't and uses tracking lists instead of adblockers which can get you blacklisted and prevent content from loading in webpages.

Edge is the fastest browser in the market and is the most conservative on system resources.

And in return you get a bunch of ads... Great.

>Edge is the fastest browser in the market and is the most conservative on system resources.

Also, it doesn't matter if it's "the fastest" when it is missing even the most basic features such as:
1) Support for widely used standards (like WebM).

2) Syncing a variety of things.

3) Run on other platforms (like Android, iOS, GNU/Linux, Windows 8.1 or earlier)

4) Open source

5) Proper customization support (Chrome is lacking this too compared to Firefox)

6) Can "Save Link As..."

7) Can change the download location! Yes I am not kidding you. You can't change the location where files are downloaded in Edge, and since there is no "save link as..." feature either, there is no way to download a file to anything other than your standard downloads folder.

8) A proper download manager (Not sure if I am doing something wrong but I can't even find a search function in it)

9) Not having a terrible settings menu (just a long list of stuff without any categories in Edge)

10) Can see passwords stored in the password manager.

11) Can change search engine. Not sure if I am doing something wrong but all the buttons related to changing it are grayed out for me.

Cont...
>>
>>51451564
12) Supports plugins (which are usually terrible, but sometimes needed)

13) Supports drag-and-drop to open files (just drag a file from your desktop into a new tab)

14) Can go back more than 1 page at a time (hold down left click and drag down in Firefox and Chrome and you get a list)

15) Can highlight -> right click -> search

16) Has lots of good options when you right click on the program in the task bar (Edge doesn't even have the option to pin it, or open a new window)

17) Can have a bookmark toolbar.

18) Can easily close a bunch of tabs with the mouse. In Edge the tabs gets resized as soon as you press the X button, while in Chrome and Firefox they stay the same size until you move the mouse away. (I can post a video explaining if anyone doesn't understand).

19) Can search in your web history. Not sure if I am not looking in the right spot but I can't find this in Edge anywhere.

20) Can drag links into a new tab. In fact, you can actually drag links between Firefox and Chrome and they will work just fine and open in new tabs, and yet Edge can't even do this within itself.

Note: This list is slightly outdated because of the latest update. That update seem to have only fixed 2-3 things though and the rest are still true.

This isn't a good thing you twat, also firefox also supports tracking lists.

I have not heard any of these bullshit points that you raised here. Seems like you are an autistic nigger who cherry picks fine details that don't affect anyone except you.

It performs its function as a default browser and is good enough for most people.

>>51451586
On so many occasions 4chan, YouTube, 9gag and even Gmail were not opening on Chrome of all the things. Chrome and Firefox keep throwing errors at me saying no internet connection, later I found out it is due to uBlock origin which is being blacklisted by these sites.

Immediately I open IE11 and all the sites are working and loading just fine.

So you tell me?

Good enough for most people != good

Internet Explorer 8 is also "good enough for most people", as demonstrated by its ridiculously high (for how terrible it is) marketshare.

>On so many occasions 4chan, YouTube, 9gag and even Gmail were not opening on Chrome of all the things. Chrome and Firefox keep throwing errors at me saying no internet connection, later I found out it is due to uBlock origin which is being blacklisted by these sites.
You have to be a troll. You use IE, visits 9fag and somehow manages to get blocked from websites. Either way, you're an idiot.

>>51451639
There is no such thing as a "subjective feature". You either have or don't have a feature. There is nothing subjective about it. Get a dictionary.

The logic behind your argument is illogical as well. You tried using an addon, which didn't work for some reason, so therefore Edge is better because you don't have the option to use addons at all? What the fuck?

>>51451847
After a cold boot it seems like Edge is the fastest. On the second start they are all pretty much the same for me. I got Firefox, Chrome and Edge on my SSD though, and plenty of RAM for Windows to cache in.

By having them run in separate processes...?
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Electrolysis

It's not enabled by default but it only takes 3 button clicks to enable it. Firefox has also had plugins (such as Flash) run in a separate process for a very long time.

Whats with that constant shilling for proprietary browsers lately? You don't even bring proper arguments its usually just vague shit like "muh smoothness".

The only time when I've ever noticed sloppy browser performance on Windows 7, which is most likely an OS problem cause all browser work smooth on me on basically any other OS.
