The scaling isn't 1:2, you idiot. You can choose between different proportions, ranging from equivalent to 1440x900 to equivalent to 1920x1200 on the rMBP 13". Not sure about what options there are on the 15".

Because you think the T60 is the be-all-end-all of laptops and can't see past $500 Edge models.
If you want a 1080p laptop, they are there to be bought. If you don't want 1366x768, don't buy compact or budget models like a dunce.
