Two 380s are able to beat a single 980 by only 10%. Two 380Xs are probably around 20-25% faster, or almost on par with a 980 Ti.

If they could, AMD would have already done a price drop over a month ago in response to the 970's price drop. Same thing with the Fury and Fury X when the 980Ti prices dropped by about $30.

I've had a regular Gigabyte 4 GB 380 along with an 8350 running since august now.
For a middle of the road card pricewise, this thing is a beast. I can play any game maxed out at 1080p with any GameWorks settings turned off and get at least 60 fps in most areas. Why would I spend more?
Also FreeSync is the best thing to happen to PC Gaming in a very long time. Screen tearing was the only thing left bothering me in games. Now I'm totally immersed with complete perfection.
