I'm thinking Intel now. I have DDR3 RAM (Vengeance Dominator 2x8GB @ 2400MHz max), and I don't want to spend more money than I need, so I want my mobo to be compatible with this RAM. Should I go for the 1050 socket or the 1051 socket, and what CPU do you recommend for a non-ridiculous budget? I'm willing to go high end, but I don't pay 80$ for another 0.1 GHz.
And finally, is the Z97/Z170 the only chipsets that allow overclocking (I read this online in an article written this summer)?

Not an expert, but I think Data is stuff that you've chosen to save or resources (files) you've used inside the app. Cache is stuff that the app needs to remember where you were so you can continue from the same spot you jumped out of the app from. So Data is a way to quickly access resources, while Cache is a way for the app to keep track of what it is/was doing for later. I'm no expert tho, so take it with a grain of salt.

I would suggest using an HTTP/FTP server in stead of network shares. Network shares never seem to work between client computers for me.
HFS for HTTP and FileZilla server for FTP.
HTTP is through browser which is easy, FTP can be mounted as a network drive on windows, also easy.

I recently picked up two monitors for cheap. I intended to use both of them with my ASUS ROG G75VW laptop (I got it as a gift). I thought I found that my model would support 3 displays at once, that is, my laptop screen and my two new monitors, but the normal windows multiple monitor setup only lets me connect two at maximum. I have one monitor connected by VGA, and the other by VGA connected to an HDMI converter, since I only have one VGA and one HDMI input on my laptop.
Is it possible for me to use the other monitor through other means? I have a laptop, so you know I don't know much about the inner workings going on here.

its not soft and is dry. it wont spread very well when you put the heatsink back on and it would have lots of air bubbles. If you attempt to it will run very hot and your computer will probably crash a lot from the cpu overheating and will eventually just die.

Dont use mineral oil, you want to clean it, not cook on it even when you can do it.
A paper towel with alcohol for Heatsink and use a wet Q-tip to clean the CPU carefully.

is there something like a crash log for firefox? it keeps crashing randomly since the update. i tried both 32bit and 64bit. the 64bit version is even worse, not only does it crash sometimes, but windows also keeps nagging about it using too much ram. it only uses 1gb of 8gb max, but windows still force closes the 64bit version for whatever reason.

Following a guide I found, i used ln -s to link my ~/.vimrc file to ~/.neovimrc but none of the commands seem to have carried over. I then tried renaming the .neovimrc file to just .nvimrc with the same amount of success. Any ideas on how to fix it?

just remember that it's highly recommended to make both cards run at the same clock speeds (either overclock one or under clock the other). if they aren't at the same clock speeds you may have issues with the top and the bottom half of the frame not matching up.

Are backlight issues of new Asus PG279Q really that bad? I want to get a new display (mostly for gaming, so low input lag is top priority for now), and 1440p 144 Hz G-Sync display sounds really good. GTX 970 is my GPU right now, but I can always upgrade later.
