I recently noticed I have those damn 1-2px borders on both sides of my canvas in Firefox 42. They weren't here previously. The color is normal, I've got a theme installed.
Not sure how they appeared, I might have struck a wrong shortcut or something. They're pretty annoying when I try to reach the scrollbar.

How do I get rid of those? Pic related, see full res to notice them.

Is there a easy way to get text from a .aspx webpage?

I've tried using php web scrapers but the text I want doesn't load before being scraped. Trying to work on a program that monitors the website and whenever the text changes or every 2 minutes or so I read in that text and chuck it in a list.

I don't think I will need 10 bit decoding. Jus Samba, rTorrent and the Ssh to control it. Then I will try new things, nothing bit or hard.

I got one the other day for exactly $20, good for seeing which of your appliances uses up the most electricity. Other than that there's probably no software way to tell unless your PSU specifically has a debugging connection

unless your tv has a zoom function you probably can't. i think it depends on the game whether the screen will be filled or if there are black bars.

In device manager i updated the USB storage driver since it said it couldn't load something because it was already in memory and it has a yellow yield sign on it, i upadted the drivers in the options but nothing changed.
I opened event viewer and i found pic related.

Can somebody explain the size limit of SDXC cards?
SD is 4GB and SDHC is 32GB. Every device that uses those formats has support up to the theoretical maximum.
Yet, despite SDXC having a theoretical max of 2TB, I see devices all the time with seemingly arbitrary limits of 64GB, 128GB, etc. My only guess is that these limits are not about the hardware, but the formatting used by a particular device.

I want to upgrade the processor on my laptop, socket 478P. I have been looking at T9900 Q9100 and a few others. It has been a long time since I purchased parts. I don't understand anymore how you can tell what CPU is better than another it used to be you could look at the fucker and say that one is a 486DX4@100MHz and that fucker over there is a Pentium at 233MHz so its faster. So how do I do this today?

Hi /guys,

i have to install a 3g stick in a big vending machine, but the signal might not be strong enough when everything is closed - there will be a lot of metal around it. Any idea on how to check how strong the mobile signal in the closed machine would be ? Any phone app with history of the signal ?

It'd be connected to a raspberry pi running a custom distro. Extending the 3g stick to a place near the top ?
>>
>>51292659

Get a GSM/UMTS antenna and hook it up to your 3G stick. If you see modern beverage vending machines that accepts debit/credit cards you will notice a black blob right on top of them that is their GSM/CDMA/WIFI antenna.

Find a vendor of vending machine parts, you should be able to buy the antenna seperate.

Common manufacturers for such devices are MEI and Coinco.

hi

i have a socket 1150 motherboard and a 4690k, i am not planning to change my motherboard/ram etc. in at least 4 years, so here's the question

is it worth it to upgrade from 4690k to 4790k, i can swap the cpu with a guy, i give him the 4690k + 100 money and he gives me 4790k

just wondering if it's worth it, i do everything with my computer, mostly gaming, rarely some video and music converting/editing, sometimes i record game videos too

i'm wondering if during dx12 times the hyper-threading will help in games, or by the time it does become useful, the 4790k will be obsolete?

Hey, I currently have 2 x 4gb of ram in my pc and on rare occasions while playing Ark: survival evolved I run out of ram causing my pc to freeze.

I was thinking about upgrading to 3 x 4gb of ram, would that be a bad idea? I don't feel like I would need 16gb of ram but I heard it's better to run 4 sticks of ram instead of 3 because of the dual + single channel stuff.

You'll definitely feel an improvement when editing/converting video and music, and recording game videos will likely have less of an impact on game performance too (assuming you're not using shadow play).

HT will make multi-tasking feel smoother overall, so converting a video won't make the rest of the system sluggish as much. Not sure if it's worth $100 to you, but for people into media creation in general it's a nice addition.

What are some websites which allow you to host one (or maybe more) HTML page for free, without ads? Like, you go to the URL where your uploaded HTML file is, and it actually shows the page.
The site should not limit the traffic to that webpage, by the way.

Quick question about networking.
Due to bad coverage area of my router I'll be getting another router and then run a cable from the old router to the new router.
The only thing I need to set are the SSID password and name right?
Also I can't connect to other device that's connected on that router, I mean if I run ftp server that's on 192.168.2.5 on the old router, I can't access it from computer on the new router right?
Finally is this a good option? I mean to solve the wifi coverage issue?
>>
>>51293044
Do you think the computer is good? Have no idea myself apart that spec seem high enough
>>
>>51293054
if your main router is 192.168.1.1, then you need to give your new router an ip address, for example: 192.168.1.2, but the router itself starts a separate network like 192.168.2.1, otherwise they will conflict and want to give eachother ip addresses, as they have DHCP servers, but otherwise yea pretty straight forward
>>
>>51293054
Just get wifi repeater, not another router mate
>>
>>51293063
it's ok, you'll get it for average price, it's not either good or bad, depends what cpu it has in it, i7 cpus start at 300-350 euros alone, ssd probably around 60-70 and hdd is the same

usually the prebuilt computers have pretty basic motherboards in it too

I want to confirm something, I've downloaded xbox360 archade game with GOD extension all packed inside a RAR file, when I unpacked that with engrampa archive manger and moved it, I got "The game couldn't start, try redownloading the game again" error.

TL;DR
Does different archive managers handle unpacking files differently?

Good budget cards worth it: gtx 960, used Radeon HD 7970, used r9 290 or 280x.

Commonly recommended but shit budget cards :
GTX 750 Ti, GTX 760, r9 270, r9 380 (because bad price /performance)

audiofags will give you some bullshit about clipping, "little bits of DC", etc.

Those dumb motherfuckers don't understand what RMS means.

You can blow tweeters from clipping, but it'll sound like horribly piercing garbage long before that point.

It can be very enlightening to use a kill-a-watt meter on the power input to your amp, most comfortable bedroom levels are only 0.1-1W.

Big power levels are so you have some reserve for peaks, big nigger parties, or driving subwoofers

I've seen instances where the update is to install an upgrade to software and it opens up a window behind the Update window and waits for user input.

otherwise,
stop Windows update service and BITS service
delete c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution\ subfolders, leave the ReportingEvents file
restart Windows update service and BITS service
try updates again

So /g/, I have this little annoying problem with my second monitor's resolution whereI just get two huge black bars on the right side of my screen. It's a shitty 17" hanns G monitor, but the 1440x900 worked perfectly before the black borders appear. Changing the resolution uses the whole screen again, even on 1920x1080.

I tried moving the screen postion both with the monitor, and the Nvidia program, doesn't work, what can I do ? I know the resolution fits since I was using it perfectly fine. Thank you.

>pic related is how it looks.
