How did Firefox get so slow? Not even memeing here, I've been a Firefox user since Firefox 1.5.
But Firefox with no addons but uBlock, absolutely chokes on large websites where Chromium with no addons but uBlock is perfectly fine.
Is Mozilla even trying to compete in speed?

Mine works just fine. The difference might be the OS, as I have noticed. I left for Loonix many years ago, and Firefox runs pretty good on it.

I've found that recently Firefox freezes when I try to scroll on a page that hasn't fully loaded yet.
I've also found that sometimes my scrolling can be really laggy, like it isn't at 60Hz, which can be fixed by dragging the window around.

very funny, I'm running nvidia and i have the same problem that firefox is fucking dogshit.
Menu, options, advanced, check smooth scrolling.
If it's already checked, uncheck it, close and open browser, check it, close and open.
Only other thing to check is hardware acceleration.
I use the addons in pic related and I've got no issues with speed or scrolling. With the amount of tabs I've usually got open, Firefox is twoce as fast as Chrome.
