it's kind of a middleground between smartphone and dumbphone.
is old as fuck but mine still has really decent battery life.
it's REALLY fucking small but at the same time really chubby. sometimes uncomfortable in your pocket but it seems to be near bulletproof.
don't expect to do anything besides some light messaging, phoning, media playback with it. okay, reading the weather report is fine too or your calendar.

well, had it as daily driver for 2 years, now im using a z2, but this little guy is great for typing very long chains of text, and the 20+ hours of battery when playing music and the 6 days battery when not in use make it a champion mp3 player

By today standards, no. It's 4 years old running a super old Android OS. If you can unlock the boot loader, root and install custom ROMs, maybe it's a bit better.

to my knowledge both devices have CM12.1 but only photon Q has an unlockable bootloader
I was using one until the touch screen broke last year. I was happy with it. The only apps i was using were firefox, K-9, telegram and sometimes osmand. It was tolerable in terms of performance with kitkat. Now I use a droid 4. It's also OK but uglier.
