It ran a little warm, but it not loud. Little quieter than most desktops. Never really felt a throttling or heat issue. I ended up getting rid of it to a family member, and built a new one not too long ago.

It's a shitpad X240, and I've regret it ever since I bought it. Burn-in on IPS panel, then pixelerrors, the touchpad and keys are worn off really easy, so the touchpads gets uncomfortable to use..

I don't expect to run everything on ultra. I wish I could build something in order to do that, but my budget does not allow it. I'm expecting however, to run everything on 1080p (even if that means setting everything to minimum). My question is: my build is going to be able to survive (barely) this generation of games right? Let's put it this way: I've currently got a PC with an FX-6100 and a Radeon HD 6790 and I can play Far Cry 4 at around 25-30fps. You're using a card that's a generation newer and a series up from mine. The CPU isn't all that important for most games, so you should be just fine as long as you're willing to deal with medium settings and occasional sub-60fps framerates.

Recovering NEET casual (College starts this Spring) with pre-built computer.

Nope. Two monitors. Both AOC that I got from Best Buy. 1920x1080 and 1600x900. I've had the 1600 for maybe two years and I just recently got the 1920.
