Well then you're in luck. It's been out a while and it has a fairly decent development community. There are some ROM's available for it that'll allow you to rice(customize) even more aspects of your phone then a simple launcher would.
Google the exact model number of your phone + the ROM you want and follow the steps exactly or you might brick(ruin) your phone.
Look up youtube videos to evaluate what ROM you want then pull the trigger if you're confident enough.
ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR DEVICE. AND IF YOU'RE NOT WILLING TO RISK BRICKING YOUR PHONE THEN DON'T INSTALL A ROM.
The process is fairly easy but the risk of bricking is always there. If you're not tech savvy I say just install a launcher and icon sets that you like and maybe root is necessary.
