You'll probably find it very handy to have some kind of centralized archive on your network, I definitely do. I swap between systems pretty often and it's pretty great to not have to re-download all of my most frequently used software on winshit systems. If you have movies you watch frequently where you think you would benefit from being able to access them faster or offline, that's definitely a good thing to have, you can also run a seedbox.
