>UPDATE: This guide is now out of date. If you want to run OS X inside VirtualBox on Windows, check out our new guide here.

>Update: These instructions are now outdated. We now recommend following these instructions over at MacBreaker for the newer, more popular iAtkos distribution of OS X instead.

I just wanna mess around with it. Don't really have much experience with it and would like to try it out. Besides, if someone's gonna spend a boatload of coin on overpriced hardware, shouldn't they at least be able to try out the software they're going to be forced to run on it?
>>

>they're going to be forced to run on it?
Nobody's making you use OS X on a Mac.
>>
>>54863682
So I can install gentoo on it?
(legitimately, that is)
>>
>>54863701
Of course. Macs aren't locked to OS X.
>>
>>54863734
So how come it should be so tedious to install OS X on a thinkpad?
>>
>>54863791
Just because Apple's software is tied to their hardware does not mean their hardware is tied to their software. OS X only runs on Macs, Macs will run whatever you want.
>>
>>54863791
Because it is unsupported.

Yes, also you're an idiot

Did it with Niresh
You'll need Beamoff to make it not choppy
Only recognizes 3MB of VRAM so don't expect to do anything graphically intense
Did it just to do it and haven't used it once since. Mainly dualboot win7 and debian and can't think of a need for OSX
