Hi everybody, with the release of the gtx 1080 i decided to replace my old shitty laptop by a high-end hand-build PC (firt time ;D). I know nothing and i would like /g/ to tell me if my choices are good, and what i can do to improve it

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K

GPU: GTX1080 ( attendre que les non-founder sortent ???)

motherboard: Asus ROG Maximus VIII Hero

RAM : g.skill ripjaws serie 4 2x8gb

SSD: samsung evo 850 1to (je sais pas trop si c'est mieux d'avoir une petite ssd et un gros hd)

cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H100i v2

Alim: EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2 80 Plus GOLD

case : mastercase pro 5 mid tower

Windows 10

If your making a gaming pc I'd suggest going back to the i5-6600k. I not convinced the performance difference is worth the price difference.

Besides gaming pc's are heavily reliant on the gpu anyway.

I'd get an i5, a smaller SSD, cheaper cooling and motherboard, and less wattage on the PSU but you obviously shit money so go for it.

You should still get a smaller PSU; you don't need 850w unless you're doing SLI. It will be futureproof though.
