You can practice holding your breath underwater to improve your lung capacity.
You could also swim back and forth quickly and practice kicking off the wall for quick turn arounds.
Maybe get some floatweights to push down. Don't know much about that shit, but's it's probably out there. Could be a good complement to general pushing up work.
