it's more popular than it has been for a while to be honest, lads like Thor and Eddie Hall are really popular. Brian Shaw has a big internet presence as well.

why is strongman not as popular as powerlifting here? I mean, it's definitely more fun to watch. I've thought about doing it once my pl numbers are better.

Most people don't have easy access to the equipment
also, powerlifting is more suited to autistic training cycles and number crunching, strongman (especially at lower levels) is not standardised at all
