Is squatting 6 days a week a good idea?

I've been doing it. Mixing rep routines and with pause squats and alternating front and backsquat.

Most reps I go is 3. Sets generally 10-20.

I train 2-3 hours a day right now. I don't just squat everyday. I do pulls everyday too for massive glutes.

I'm also stretching 1-2 hours a day or incorporating rehab like light leg work or swimming to prevent injury.

I'm not even worried about classic lifts right now but I incorporate them too.

You're raising your heels and move into the tip of your feet for some reason, you're suppouse to jump, thats how the bar is going to go up once it has quite some weight on, the jumping is where the power comes from the power clean.

Simple Definition of jump
: to move your body upward from the ground and often forward, backward, or sideways through the air by pushing with your legs.

I see where the misunderstanding is. I think he jumps because I belived he extends his legs and comes off the ground. While you guys say he's contracting his legs and so comes off the ground.

If it's the second one then I'm wrong and admit it.

The reason you don't jump is that "Jumping" is changing your center of mass upwards, and you want to just accelerate the barbell upwards, not yourself. It also helps to get down faster when your feet are on the ground, if they are in the air you can't accelerate yourself downwards (but when you go downwards your feet can come off the ground, its normal when you are fast af).

What the oly lifter is doing is 1) Triple extension, then 2) third pull, which is getting under the barbell (pulling yourself to a "squat")

The third pull starts after triple extension. You can look for "clean pull" or "snatch pull" to see where you end, and after this you get down.

I've been loitering arouns for like 10 minutes since my last squat set, and I've destroyed my UCL ligament doing curls and some meme extensions (triceps ext. behind the head with a bar...). I'm gonna do tech with the bar now or just go relax. Maybe drink a chocolate milk. I've been in the gym three hours now and I haven't eaten (except for the PB+J sandwich I just ate).

I do tend to post my bad lifts for the banter, but ofc I am actually getting better. Thanks mate. I did 3 attempts of 58kg p. snatch, it probably got high enough to catch, but it kept pushing me into a squat and I just lost it each attempt, and ofc each attempt was worse.

My main limitation in snatch is probably OH stability in the squat. Commie reccomended jerk style push press and snatch style push press to help with OH pos/stability, that's why I was doing those today in some webms.

he also doesn't do as much volume as the bulgs

commie goes up to a max single than does a handful of backoff sets of singles or doubles

the bulgs trained 8 hours a day, and i dont have exact numbers for volumes in my head.. but they did so much volume and heavy lifts that you absolutely do need to be on steroids to recover from it (and be an elite lifter too).

for you're tech, you're pulling too fast off the floor. you don't have to go slow (it wouldn't really hurt), but at least pull at a moderate rate and accelerate coming to extension. you want to work on getting the right positions, and its a lot easier to get the right positions when you do a movement more slowly.

and i don't mean do the 2nd pull slowly, that's dumb. but first pull, at least a moderate pace. dont go as fast as you can off the floor, not right now.

you're jumping forward too. common beginner mistake, you're just not fully extending is it is I believe. fully extend, shrug up. pull it to the ceiling while pulling yourself under once you've hit full extension.

not awful though.

you can/maybe should do some hang power cleans to separate extension from the pull on the floor (since you're working on both, dont want to work on too many things at once..). maybe do hang power cleans and clean style deadlifts separately.
