>be in gym
>lifting weights
>look at the mats section
>there's always some guys rolling and stretching on the floor

What are they doing? Is there some type of Starting Strength-like guide for stretching and the core work I assume they're doing? Is it calisthenics?
>>
It's called stretching

Stretching prevents you from having post-workout pains. I know I forgot to do it yesterday and today I'm feeling broken.

Me:
Burning sensation every day at lower back/ sacro-iliac joint.
Worse when I squat.
Assume it's not because of lack of flexibility, because I'm hypermobile, confirmed by rheumatologist.

>start doing Agile 8 Foam Rolling + stretching at home, then before a work out.
> 2 days later, no pain in lower back

>get lazy, comes back about a week later
>start again, just before workouts now

>lower back pain gone after about a year of constant discomfort that made me afraid to lift.

Let me rephrase, I had the pain for a year.

Fixed it in under a week.

>>37263799
It's even worse when you are just starting, every newbie should be forced to do stretching because the pains of those first days can be brutal.

What's your stretch routine?

This is the one that helped me the most.

Also, this against the wall one helps with shoulders, because modern humans do a lot of work with hands in front of them (typing, writing, etc)

I have added static stretches, but it was that first one that helped me most.>>37263888

u guise there's always ppl on treadmills

is there some routine like STARTING WALKING kek

gold, jerry, gold
>>
Pretty normal thing for any routine to include some calisthenics like reverse crunches, pushup pluses et al
>>
I'm not flexible
I don't stretch
The pain is a way to keep track of where I'm at in my routine.
