>>
5 days a week, 1 1/2 a day. 30min of cardio in the morning and the hour in the evening is for LIFT
>>
Seriously, what are you meant to do on rest days?

I have other hobbies, sure, but the idea that I shouldn't be training, or at least doing lots of cardio, every day drives me mad.
They feel so unfulfilling.
>>
4 days
2-3 hours
>>

research tons of new things. learn new ways, new things, rest those muscles for them gains.
>>
>>37225553
I do every day anyway.
To be honest, these days, my sessions will last about 1 - 1/2 hours.
I'd like to switch to something closer to
>>37225538
But it just means on non-training days I feel useless. It feels like I can ALWAYS fit in a session.
The main reason they're short isn't tiredness, it's lack of a gymbro. I get bored and stop pushing myself, then feel guilty on the way home.
>>
Newfag here. Only four days a week for me because of school while sometimes I can fit five in. It's usually just a little over an hour but I'm trying to gradually at more time each session.
I have a question that's probably dumb.

I worked out for three hours for the first time Tuesday night. It wasn't until sometime around the afternoon yesterday that I began to feel so sore that I didn't feel like getting out of bed. It's my workout day today but I still feel pretty sore this morning. Should I skip today and wait until I feel better or will it be OK if I do my workout today?
>>

Them DOMS breh.

Depends on how bad it is, you won't tear your shit up unless you go hard. If it hurts pretty bad I'd just stretch a little and do some easy cardio, half hour to an hour jog or something.

Next time consider taking an ice bath or cold shower, it helps prevent DOMS and speeds up recovery
>>
3 days, hour and a half, dont think I could work out more than 3 time a week

5 days 1 rest

in the range of 55 minutes to 65 minutes. thats all I need, r-right?
>>
>>37227820

Sure.
What you do with your time is just as important as how often you do it.

You can train bench press 6 days a week if you do it correctly for instance.

Jesus. Thats a lot.

When I was in the BEST shape of my life I was doing 5x per week at 90 min per session. That was more than enough to get my muscles large, cut, and my cardio on point.

How would you do that (in a sane way so as to make actual progress).

How long did it take for you guys to see gains? This is for the skinny bros looking to put on muscle.
>>
>>37226000
Ecto, meso, whatever body types are, for the most part, a meme. The biggest differentiating factor in male bodies would be relative hip width- but this is no where to the extent that the aforementioned suggests.

Also this thread somewhat baffles me- to see so many people training 6 days a week (presumably lifting everyday- not just cardio). Rest days and recovery are extremely important to a 'nonenhanced' lifter even on a well balanced routine.
>>
>>37225474
currently 5 times a week for 1 to 1.5h
when i'm busy (40h school, working and learning) sometimes only 3 times

Lifting wise I do 4 times a week for an hour or so. (5/3/1 bastardize with some bb assistance). Run 1-2 miles 2 days(7-8min pace. Nothing crazy) and teach a bootcamp on 1 day (45 min)

6 days a week
3 hour push days
2 1/2 hour pull days
2 hour leg days
>>
Right now like 3 times a week 1-1.5 hour. Mainly weight training. Sometimes do an additional cardio training for like 30 - 60 min.

2 years ago I was training 7-10 times a week (rowing). Mostly cardio/technique training sessions, only weighttraining twice a week. For 1.5 years afterwards it felt like training 5-6 times a week was nothing and almost felt embarrassed. Now I don't have any time left and just too tired from working to keep that going.
>>
>>37225494
That's absolute overtraining unless you're on juice
>>
>>37225524
read, work, vidya, cook, write, lift, run, youtube.

It's usually what I do, but I could do more 'fulfilling' things like learning a language/new skill
>>
4 days a week, around 90 minutes per session unless i feel like doing accessories
>>
>>37226000
Like going back in time.
Mirin trips.
>>
3, 1hr45 2 days a week as that's how much time I get before the gym shuts after work, and about 3 on my day off.
>>
>>37225474
Alternate lifting to cardio days, so about 5 days ~45 mins.
>>
>>37225474
Trying to get my act together so at least 4 times a week, usually spend a couple hours at the gym at a time. Tues/Thurs evenings and weekend mornings. Gotta work around that there mundane 9-5 office drone life. Cardio on off days is either swim, cycling, or fucking my imaginary girlfriend.
>>
>>37226909
